Lou is the best. Ihave no "clever" saying for the board. Can ANYONE dispute his vocal power and style? I think not... unless you like auto-tuned dime-a-dozen crap that dulls the senses of our youth...
Bruce Turgon is a creative genius. I adore anything he worked on from Black Sheep to his solo album. I dont think he gets enough credit for his musical contributions.

I bought this record in the early 90s on vinyl, one of the best records ever. I still play it regulary and a always get the same feeling simply pure magic. Lou Gramm has never been better.
I remember buying this when it first came out back in 91' and poppin it in my player and crankin it. This is a very good album. Too bad they didn't do more together. Vivian Campbell is one of the best guitarists to come out of the eighties, the guy can flat out shred. Too bad he's spinnin his wheels with The Lep these days. Steady paycheck but no challenges.
@VIDEOHEREBOB Hey man, thanks a million for introducing me to Black Sheep, their music is absolutely killer and they rock, I personally thought Black Sheep is a much better band than Foreigner ever was, Foreigner would've been a really great band if their music wasn't so mainstream
@Doobie1975 You're very welcome. That's what i love about Y.T. You get to hear all of this great singing other than what these guys are known for. Here's another 2 for ya..."Lou Gramm - Black Dog" and "Lou Gramm - Chains." Enjoy!!!
Thx for posting Shadow King music .. i recall searching high and low for their album and eventually end up only got a used cd .. But that's so precious.
Lou Gramm's been the great vocal. And Viv has been definitely the great guitar master.
Blessed to still hear Viv's guitar riff, with his existence in Def Leppard.
Shadow King ... well ... ESSENTIALLY THE SO POWERFUL AND MAGIC VOICE OF LOU GRAMM - can understand why he is considered as one of the best voices for the last 30 years - GREAT LOU GRAMM !!
I think this project fell to the way side and didn't get the promotion and marketing it needed. That is paid for by the recording company. Maybe that is why they disbanded. I know Bruce Turgon stated on his website he had written songs for a second Shadow King album still in his possession.
I dont think VC was really into this group. I read an interview with him where he was quite dismisive of it. He only did the lead gtr parts and was a bit miffed that Lou had sold him on doing a modern Free type band with all the members involved in the writing but instead just used songs Lou'd written with Turgon. If you read the album liner notes you'll see Turgon's credited with rytham guitar as well as bass.
Thanks ak301. I read the same thing on VC's website. VC stated that he loves R&B guitar. I am glad that we are able to have this exposure to these great musicians.
I have this cd and really would love to see videos of "What would it take" & "Anytime, Anywhere"! If you like Vivian Campell's playin' check out the Riverdogs w/Rob Lamothe on vocals..another awesome band!!!
I heard there were some "ego" problems. I'd like to really hear how Lou sounds now. I haven't had a good reports lately. This was a good band for a 3-piece with a "Great" singer.
I understand that Lou has stepped back from the limelight for a while...and Foreigner is touring with Kelly Hansen of Hurricane fame (great voice, as well. However, the man has definitely marked his spot in rock'n'roll history...

If you listen to Counting Every Minute (off Foreigner's Inside Information) you will find quite a similarity in lyrics and melody to this song.
