  • I did'nt think they would allow this type of stuff to be released in Japan...

  • I love type14 which is very beautiful. but I know M1911 is better than type14 in the war.

  • I'll never swap my .45 for a weak little nambu

  • the nambu is simple to the point where you could probobly build one in your garage.

  • @choopdewoot yes, its like the british sten or the russian ak-47, the most simple, effective and reliable group of weapons ever made in the wolrd =V

  • Ill take the 1911.

  • Operation is the same as the Ruger

  • I wouldn't mind carrying a Nambu around, It would make me feel special

  • @andrewvanrhoberts

    "Special" as in retarded?

I could see a P08 Luger, but the Nambu was a piece of pot metal chambered in a cartridge about as powerful as the 32ACP, in a big stupid fucking horse pistol size.

If you dropped it it could go off, it took TWO hands to take the safety off, and my dick hits harder than the Nambu.

  • @Blahblobify shoot yourself in the head then :D

  • @Blahblobify not this nambu! the nambu type 94 was crap, this was actually okay.

  • @Blahblobify I was told by an old army officer that they used the Nambu as a last resort gun also suicide and extreme CQB pistol its range was about 15m, I could throw a knife at someone further away and kill them lol

  • @TheHadrien71 The magazine of the classic 1911 .45 carried 7 rounds in its magazine but soldiers and cops going into combat would add an extra 8th bullet in the chamber before going into combat if they could. In 1985, the Canadian Para-Ordnance company introduced a 1911 with a 10-13 round magazine in .45 ACP. Since then, they have perfected double action versions as well. This makes the 1911 design equal to the WonderNine pistols in ammo capacity and superior in hitting power.

  • I will never understand why the Japanese and the French(or the Soviets) didn't just adopt the 9mm Luger round after WWI? Germany couldn't sue them for patent infringements after the Versailles Treaty, could they? Seriously, I would choose a Luger or Mauser 96(in 7.63 or 9mm)over this pistol if I had a choice. The Nambu has an oddball attractiveness to it, but it seems to be just a copy of a .22 caliber target pistol. Like the Nagant 95, its the type of gun you use on people who can't fight back!

  • A 1911 is the best handgun all around. Some special forces units choose this over the Beretta 92. It has less magazine capacity but one shot will take someone down. It is simple, reliable, and rugged. That's all you need.

  • colt m1911 win's all day long.

  • Nothing beats a revolver. Far less moving parts, less to go wrong.

S&W Model 19 Combat Magnum or Beretta 92F are my choices.

If I could only have one, I would keep the S&W revolver, never have to worry about jamming/malfunctions.

    That's just me.

  • @upallhours9 Only problem with a revolver:what if you run into SEVEN guys trying to kill you? (Hopefully after you shoot his six buddies he'll lose his nerve and run away!)

  • @MrReded69 Carry 2 revolvers, and have 2 semis on-hand (with pre-Brady Bill) 15/mag+1 in breech. High Capacity Glocks or personal preference.

  • @30CalGunner More parts=more things that can go wrong :P

but I won't argue, I'd choose the 1911 over any gun anyday :)

  • "As suspected the American weapons were highly inferior as the .45 caliber round dropped 3 feet from the target..."

  • @TheHadrien71 Games aren't a great source on weapon knowledge kid...

  • @TheHadrien71 At the time of WWII it had 7.

  • @30CalGunner but more parts means more likely for something to malfunction

  • .45ACP is used to stop a people not hit though him

  • damn what an ugly gun

  • m1911 FTW im getting and airsoft one soon :D

  • @30CalGunner: I think it actually has less parts, but that, in my opinion, would make it better.

  • The 1911 is obviously legendary, and still a favourite of today, but im wondering how the imperial japanese like this nambu, it looks very nice and practical.

  • @Konductt

"nice and practical?"..........it was a poorly made low quality underpowered piece of crap with terrible ergonomics

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb Swiss SIG P220 pistol and the domestic Type 89 assault rifle.

  • the guns have too much recoil...

  • @Thedogbond The guy is just using a weird stance i suppose. Or atleast for fast firing.

  • That little nambu is cute.

  • ok so the 1911 is more powerfull, better build, more reliable, twice as accurated, more flexible... well no one ask why its stills one of the most widely used pistols and the nambu is just a museum piece

  • translation plz

  • @curseofa5r5a I don't speak Japanese. Besides, a picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes. :)

  • @Omsbon sorry man but i dont get your point

  • @curseofa5r5a My point is that I cannot translate the video due to my lack of knowledge of the Japanese language, but I think the pictures speak for themselves.

  • @curseofa5r5a it can be seen form thata angle, bu i do really care for what they say about the nambu pistol, i culs look for it on the internet, yes but i could look for the lyrics of a song in the internet as well, so even when its not completly necesary i owuld like a translation of this, if you cant maybe a willing japanese would

  • @curseofa5r5a Translation? 1911=awesome sauce. Nambu=less than awesome sauce.

  • .45 acp will beat a 9mm x 19 in stopping power any day, so that 8 mm probably has even less power.

  • @topguntin , incorrect. Any gun, even a .22 LR has stopping power. If you hit somebody with ANY gun with ANY bullet, they would fall to the ground. Think about it. A 9mm with a hollow point, or high velocity bullets are obviously going to be stronger than a .45 without.

  • @snakeye54 that is true however i still think that a slow moving .45 would do more damage at close range. Dont get me wrong .22 LR are very effective rounds, but at close range say 10-30 yards I would personal choose a .45 since bigger bullet makes bigger hole and the .45 acp weights much more than the 9mm. The 1911 was very popular in WW I because of it's strong hard hitting rounds at close range shootouts.

  • @topguntin , If you have any sort of .22 Mark 2, or a .22 Walther P22, then you can lay off multiple rounds, and you can take down an enemy without much recoil trouble. And, the M1911 was used in WWII not because the bullet was strong, but because the M1911's were VERY reliable, and you could toss it around, and put it in water and it wouldn't break. It was also popular because back then, .45 ACP rounds were very popular and used in Thompson M1A1's, and were very common and easy to get.

  • @snakeye54 not if they are hopped up on drugs or something, that is the reason the US Army adopted the 1911 in the first place. when we were fighting in the Phillipines after the Span-Am War, the natives were so drugged that the .38 caliber pistol that was in use would not stop them.

  • Wow I thought the Nambu would have been more Accurate than that..

  • Also the japanese ahd very little money and supplies to work with when designing the nambu the americans were modernized for awhile and they had the edge at taht time..

  • I've heard the Ruger .22LR used some ideas from this pistol and the grip angle from the Luger 9mm

  • both will wound you if hit. both can kill if hit in the right place there lesson learned

  • I heard the Type 14's accuracy at 25 yards was 3" to 4" in another firing test.

    Maybe caused by original ammo...

  • Subtitles Please!

  • Honda vs Cadillac

  • i just think he got bored and quit aimin with the Nambu

  • @xSABERLINEx Actually, he said that Nambu had smoother trigger, but 1911 had better accuracy probably because of his shooting or ammunition.

  • Yeah the M1911 is better, you can't go wrong with 7 rounds of 45 caliber instead of an 8mm round

  • 1911 4ever !!! ^^

  • @Bloopeep Erm... no. The 1911 has been used ever since it's design 100 years ago because it's such a good gun. Even by today's standards it's a fantastic weapon.

  • This test is flawed . . . I can tell because BOTH of these pistols kill with headshots on Call of Duty World at War ALLL the time . . . ;) Lol!

  • @VirgilHawkins1 omg shut up, with your call of duty shit, in real life the nambu is a piece of shit, keeps jamming and has a horrible penetration power, and is inaccurate

  • @jonasldg Obviously you do not get my joke. The M1911A1 is obviously far superior to the Nambu in every possible regard. The M1911 should still be the standard issue sidearm of the US Military, or in the very least we should still use the .45ACP chambering, not neccisarily in the old standard issue 230 Gr. FMJ Ball, but a .45ACP no less.

  • Nambu is a extremly reliable gun because of its simple design.

  • @ChickenClanxRed it should be reliable, but because of how poorly it was produced, its not. it's mostly due to the loose tolerances

  • @1HGClark Well Ive shot a 22. version of it and it shoots verry smooth

  • 5*****

  • Awesome video. Thanks for uploading. Would be cool, if they'd put a Luger or P38 in the test.

  • No wonder US Marines hate the M9. Not even such smaller more accurate round like the Nambu round that could defeat the .45's accuracy.

  • An example of the Type 14 in surprisingly good condition; this pistol was made at the Nagoya Arseal in January, 1944 (shown by the "19.1" on the right side of the pistol, meaning the 1st month of the 19th year of Hirohito's reign).
