Hi i love the video, i just wanted to know what your doing now? I'm in AS year and taking the wrong subjects u could say and want to take architect related subjects which means starting again so i was just wondering the process and gaurenttee of getting a job with a degree in architecture
Very nice models, better than anything I can do (I'm second year at the moment) but it would've been nice to see a few more of your drawings and, most importantly, concept and development sketches. Models are great for clients who may find it difficult to visualise a space using plans and elevations, but the development sketches and drawings are the most important thing to many architects. Lovely designs though, really nice.
wow, what a great video! Found it more or less by accident, next year I want to start to study landscape architecture :) It's awesome to see the progress you've made during your time at the uni. :) Like they say.. you grow with your tasks. Thumbs up
i just love how we went thru in year 1 ... after which our design process are the same for the next few years... really miss the time we are free to design everything =D
I want to add that i noticed that you had more fluid design at the start of studies and as you advanced further you simplified it to more cube based design which I also prefer :)
can I ask, is Architecture more mathematical or Artistic? I am thinking of doing Architecture but I am more of a mathematician than an artist, although I know both of them are highly desirable skills.
It was really interesting to see the improvement from year to year. I can't wait to start towards my masters in Architecture, I'm beginning at North Dakota State University next year.
The good thing about that is that you will have a better understanding of lineweights by the time you get to CAD...My school doesn't even teach Cad anymore..they are moving us to Revit.
im in year 11 and live in Melbourne and i have a passion for architecture and design, do you have any advice with what i should do in the next two years so i can be prepared for uni?
Get lots of sketchbooks and fill them with all sorts of content regarding architecture.. with different styles of design, snippets, materials and various other pieces of art and drawings etc.
Found out by research what aspect of Architecture you find most fun and interesting, believe me there are many types. Found it if you suitable of Digital Architecture, if so. Try getting Auto CAD, Maya, 3DS max or Google Sketchup and experiement and play with it everyday. IF Ment to be.. You'll get there
Congratulations on producing such a nice body of work over the years. I just finished 3rd year of Ba Environmental Design at UTAS. Are you looking to work in melbourne next year? What firms are you looking at?
nice portfolio.. how'd u manage to keep ur stuff together for so long like the last piece in ur 2nd yr. I'm cuurently studyin construction management in Canada.. what school did you attend?
It isn't so much complicated, i guess. But like with all design, it takes a lot of dedication (and time!) to get the trick, and it takes luck and even more dedication to get past the trick and be actually 'good' at it... But at the same time, it's just a trick you can learn, like any other trick. And it's fun! If it works for you, it's like living a hobby...
