Longcoat puppies are sooooooooo "ugly duckling" until they start to get their adult coat. For a while, the question that I got asked all the time was "what kind of dog is he?" But once that coat comes in, NOTHING, absolutely nothing, is more magnificent than a mature GSD in full coat.
