  • wedding song, obvi. it's not even a question....

although, i might lose it if i pick this song. so maybe not.

  • happy birthday to me....21

  • Nope...MTV is still run by the same old pervert. Old Rothstein just thinks it's funny to not play video and be a purveyor of filth...Mazal tov!

  • great song , i love her voice....

  • A forever powerful song and Sandoval's voice is a deep pool of emotion absolutely grasping and never letting go. Sad, dark yet one of the most uplifting EVER. The whole process of sharing the deepest part of you happens rarely but happened to me. I commune with my wife of 28 years because we ARE souls wrap in each other. BEAUTIFUL SONG with the only voice that could have expressed it this way. Please listen! You will know.

  • Makes the hangover run a little smoother.

  • R.I.P...You'll always be with me in spirit.

  • @djstevesnoddy is mazzzy alive?i love lthis

  • strange enough, when i got in my first fight. I thought of this song.

  • My GF asked me to listen to this song, said i should know what it means....what the hell am i missing?? FUCK women can be confusing

  • I first encountered this song on a myspace profile. I don't care what anybody says about myspace, 2004 to 2006 was the golden age of social networking. I miss myspace. It was an absolute artistic awakening for me. Myspace made me realize there was life after Floyd.

  • Really unique voice. Today bad they didn't produce more hits

  • this song is awesome you young jackass

  • You know this song surprisingly reminds me of my dad's GMC Sierra '92. Strange indeed I grew up with that truck and I never really felt there was anything special about it until the day that some idiot crashed it in front of our house. It was loosing a close friend or better yet some sort of special nostalgia left over from a decade that got turned into "yesterday's news". And that bastard took it away from me forever. I will always miss that truck.

  • Very possible. Songs have a way of staying in your subconcious.

  • @TheRonpower Closest thing to heaven you can get

  • I'm 69 years old===why do I like this music ?

Why ? Because music transcends all boundaries.

  • @TheRonpower Perhaps also because it sounds a bit like Neil Young's "Helpless"

  • it's a bit blasphemous to have to sit through five seconds of Fred Figglehorn's adenoidal screeching to reach this thing of sullen beauty. small price to pay for solace, I suppose.

  • Beautiful!

  • "Manufactured by Capital Records, Inc"

  • @thebadguy08 haha, ya, all my hipster schoolmates keep raving about bonaroo while im saying they should check out coachella and sxsw, only to be met with that they dont care about lame obscure punk, oh well, too bad for those fuckers

  • @nymetsrock Roo has phish and radio head thats why im going

  • @vixennstarr radiohead is at coachella also

  • I am with you, this song was one of those i heard the first time, called the radio station repeatadly until i got through to get the artist

  • one of the rare times in my life that i remember hearing a song for the first time! i instantly LOVED it . hope is/was beautiful! The perfect 90's babe.

  • I love this song-brings me back to my wild 20s in the 90s ;)

  • Hope is so badass!!

  • It was a good year!

  • Great singing...

  • this song is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • '94 a great changing point in music....good year.

  • God I still remember this playing in the background of Starship Troopers, when Rico gets into a fight with Xander in the mess hall, circa 1997. Man I miss the 90's................

  • Can't stress this enough, the music of the 90s was amazing!!!

  • Hope has a hauntingly beautiful voice.......my lullaby music.

  • beautiful

  • love, love, love her voice!

  • Her Name Is Hope Sandoval She Is Mexican American You Can Also Find More About Her On Wikipedia :)

  • ANGUS !!!

  • This makes me so nostalgic. :)

  • oh my word. this song, i used to just put it on repeat at night. i had the craziest most serene dreams... "i wanna hold the hand inside you" the 90's were incredible! i love music

  • it was really cool to have been a teen in the 90s. i love music, and the 90s had some of the best... 80's and 90s music's my favorite. Well, aside from Pink Floyd which is my true love.

  • This chick was such a sexy little thing. Shame she didn't put out too much music.

  • @Aegis713 Look up Hope Sandoval that's her name.

  • So beautiful.

  • <3 Why isn't music like this popular anymore

  • @taytaytaytay232

because people don't make music like this anymore.

  • @taytaytaytay232 because we stopped believing or caring that we had a voice. no one speaks out anymore. everyone just 'lets it be' while our cultures, communities and children are being totally robbed of art and talent because they are overwhelmed and brainwashed by rihanna riding a camel, nikki minaj weird facial nonsense and lady gagas morbid obsession with ridiculous distractions and gimmicks to stay relevant and photographed. artists care more about fame than talent

  • @seeomega Thats your opinion, I define myself and what I listen too, I dont need another opinion, if nicki minaj and lady gaga are on, I CHANGE THE STATION. Too many people in this world are existentialists, more often than not, unkowningly. You are in control, please understand this, btw I listen to all type of music, from hardcore and aggressive gangsta rap to tranquil beautiful pieces such as this, I define what I want, I heed no one

  • @seeomega Sorry, I can't agree with this. Our "cultures, communities, and children" are no more "being robbed" of art and talent now than they have ever been since the advent of modernity. You simply have to make an effort to sift through the mass of rubbish to find the talent, rather than expect it to be fed to you.

  • Very nice, I liked to listen to her voice after going to raves.

  • @JociXIII Ha me too! Ah the memories :)

  • 0:00 - 0:09 "Mama take this badge from me..."

  • @richiebear1969 It reminded me of Knockin On Heaven's Door too, but it is just a chord pattern.

  • @richiebear1969 Nice catch. It's similar to Knockin' on Heaven's Door, but not the same.

  • I think its strange you never knew..... Amazing

  • @thebadguy08

Good luck trying to smoke a bowl there. They will be awesome anyway. Can't wait!

  • I miss the 90s :-(

  • @mnmfreak502 Every day I miss the 90's :(

  • @mnmfreak502 Me too!

  • @mnmfreak502 I could not agree more. People can say what they want about classic rock, it's all good. But the 90's, that was the best decade for music. Sweet memories.

  • @mnmfreak502 pretty soon you will miss the 10's

  • @gfjagex111 Meh not really cuz i dont miss the 00's

  • @mnmfreak502 AND WE USED TO THINK WE GOT FUCKED

  • @mnmfreak502 You're not alone, but hey at least mazzy star is back and so are a few others.

  • @mnmfreak502 was thinking the same exact thing :*(

  • @mnmfreak502 Me Too! those were good times!

  • My official cigar drinking tune.

  • @thanx01 What Yellow Dot? o_O

  • this is the most played song on my mp3player, I have over 4000 songs on there from every decade, every genre, underground and mainsteem alike.

  • Timeless.

  • i love this song

  • I HOPE!

  • thumbs up if you ever jerked off to hope sandoval

  • @seaninboise you should probably delete this comment if you don't want people to think you're a psychopath

  • @brentblack lighten up fuckface

  • @seaninboise youre sick

  • @brentblack Why do you have to be a psychopath/sick to jerk it lol

  • @Simpsons794yahoo because Hope Sandavol is the type of girl that any guy in there right mind would marry... not jack off to.

  • @brentblack Can do both?

  • Pandora thank you for showing me this.

  • All these years later and this song is still as utterly beautiful as the day I first heard it years ago.

  • This is a type of song you want to listen to at four in the morning while everything is silent and feels as if time has froze. Agree?

  • i'm 15 so i can only wish i grew up with music like this =[

  • I used to listen to this song at my most hardest time in my life. This song got me though the time when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. She is gone now, but the strong emotions in this song helped me cope with my deep depression. Sometimes music like this can be powerful enough to heal your most painful grief. I miss you mom. R.I.P. 1949-2011.

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 I bet she was a wonderful woman.

  • @druglover200 Thank you for writing that. She was a wonderful woman with her flaws and all. I am only thankful that she did not suffer pain toward the end. It is said that pain heals with time, but if it is a loved one who encompasses your whole purpose of living, the pain still lingers but never fully diminishes. This song brought out all my pain to make me realize I was losing her. This song helped me cope with my tragic loss. Again, thank you for leaving kind words

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 I know how it feels bro.

  • @druglover200 I appreciate that.

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 I'm sorry :'( I cant sleep, haven't slept in over a month. I miss my ex sooooo much it makes me wanna throw up sometimes. I just want her back, but it scares me so much to think that I ruined it and she's not coming back.

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 and now i'm consumed in regret and pain.

  • @307OLDS I am sorry to hear that. Grief is not limited to the death of a lost one; it can also involve relationships as well. Before my mom passed, I made amends, told her everything I felt, told her that I loved her. The aftermath was the difficult part. Coping with grief is different for everyone. I kept myself distracted with work and school, but I also came to terms with what happened. You have to accept what has happened and not confine it. Start off small to mend your relationship. :)

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 lost alot of people

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 Yea my mom died a few years back. Hardest thing Ive ever had to deal with. No one understands the pain until they go through it.

  • @Drew00621 Yes, I agree. I did not have too much family to rely on for support, so I used music as a means to help me with the grief process. It is not easy, but sometimes life happens that way.

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 Sorry to hear about your mom, I get depressed every time I think of the day I may lose my mother. Hope you are doing ok.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI I am doing fine, thank you. It has been 8 months since my loss. Even though it may be difficult to not feel saddened by the future loss of someone, I would only hope and suggest that you spend time with your mom everyday and feel blessed that you get to have her for one extra day, month, or decades from now. Take care. :)

  • @josephmatthewsuarez1 May your mother RIP and stay st
