Dear friends, I would like to know why MTV does not play rock videos anymore on a constant regular basis. Why is MTV devoted to stupid reality shows that don't have any moral basis. At least many of the rock videos are political and philosophical like Tool, and Rage Against The Machine. Did MTV change ownership or something like that? I hate those stupid reality shows of girls that look like whores and stupid guys
A forever powerful song and Sandoval's voice is a deep pool of emotion absolutely grasping and never letting go. Sad, dark yet one of the most uplifting EVER. The whole process of sharing the deepest part of you happens rarely but happened to me. I commune with my wife of 28 years because we ARE souls wrap in each other. BEAUTIFUL SONG with the only voice that could have expressed it this way. Please listen! You will know.
I first encountered this song on a myspace profile. I don't care what anybody says about myspace, 2004 to 2006 was the golden age of social networking. I miss myspace. It was an absolute artistic awakening for me. Myspace made me realize there was life after Floyd.
You know this song surprisingly reminds me of my dad's GMC Sierra '92. Strange indeed I grew up with that truck and I never really felt there was anything special about it until the day that some idiot crashed it in front of our house. It was loosing a close friend or better yet some sort of special nostalgia left over from a decade that got turned into "yesterday's news". And that bastard took it away from me forever. I will always miss that truck.
it's a bit blasphemous to have to sit through five seconds of Fred Figglehorn's adenoidal screeching to reach this thing of sullen beauty. small price to pay for solace, I suppose.
@thebadguy08 haha, ya, all my hipster schoolmates keep raving about bonaroo while im saying they should check out coachella and sxsw, only to be met with that they dont care about lame obscure punk, oh well, too bad for those fuckers

@taytaytaytay232 because we stopped believing or caring that we had a voice. no one speaks out anymore. everyone just 'lets it be' while our cultures, communities and children are being totally robbed of art and talent because they are overwhelmed and brainwashed by rihanna riding a camel, nikki minaj weird facial nonsense and lady gagas morbid obsession with ridiculous distractions and gimmicks to stay relevant and photographed. artists care more about fame than talent
@seeomega Thats your opinion, I define myself and what I listen too, I dont need another opinion, if nicki minaj and lady gaga are on, I CHANGE THE STATION. Too many people in this world are existentialists, more often than not, unkowningly. You are in control, please understand this, btw I listen to all type of music, from hardcore and aggressive gangsta rap to tranquil beautiful pieces such as this, I define what I want, I heed no one
@seeomega Sorry, I can't agree with this. Our "cultures, communities, and children" are no more "being robbed" of art and talent now than they have ever been since the advent of modernity. You simply have to make an effort to sift through the mass of rubbish to find the talent, rather than expect it to be fed to you.
@mnmfreak502 I could not agree more. People can say what they want about classic rock, it's all good. But the 90's, that was the best decade for music. Sweet memories.
One of my favorites...I can't believe I just recently viewed this music video, it was a favorite of mine in my college days when it first came out...awesome song Mazzy...
does anyone know the name of a video with a young hope sandoval? around 18. she had long curly hair and she was smiling, standing next to this guy that was announcing some music video. i've seen this video on youtube before i just can't remember the name. someone please help?!
Alot of ppl forget this was the slow song in the Movie Angus when the main character ( Played by Charlie Talbert ) -- finally gets to dance with his crush Melissa Lefever ( played by Arian Richards who was the girl in the first Jurrasic Park movie ) --- it was a classic moment that every body wishes they could experience. BTW i lost my mom which will be 3 years in August of 2012 to Glioblastoma ( Brain tumor ) -- miss her dearly ...
All time love for the song the band and the beautiful voice and woman who created such memories in my life and jurnied all the years since this album came out. dont hate, listen, understand, and maybe one day you will find the emotions that has given me the truth.

@frankenstein1815 her current group is The Warm Inventions...look for "Hope Sandoval" on here, or "Warm Inventions"..and yes, they tour, someone I know in the SF Bay Area saw them maybe a year ago.
I used to listen to this song at my most hardest time in my life. This song got me though the time when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. She is gone now, but the strong emotions in this song helped me cope with my deep depression. Sometimes music like this can be powerful enough to heal your most painful grief. I miss you mom. R.I.P. 1949-2011.
@druglover200 Thank you for writing that. She was a wonderful woman with her flaws and all. I am only thankful that she did not suffer pain toward the end. It is said that pain heals with time, but if it is a loved one who encompasses your whole purpose of living, the pain still lingers but never fully diminishes. This song brought out all my pain to make me realize I was losing her. This song helped me cope with my tragic loss. Again, thank you for leaving kind words
@josephmatthewsuarez1 I'm sorry :'( I cant sleep, haven't slept in over a month. I miss my ex sooooo much it makes me wanna throw up sometimes. I just want her back, but it scares me so much to think that I ruined it and she's not coming back.
@307OLDS I am sorry to hear that. Grief is not limited to the death of a lost one; it can also involve relationships as well. Before my mom passed, I made amends, told her everything I felt, told her that I loved her. The aftermath was the difficult part. Coping with grief is different for everyone. I kept myself distracted with work and school, but I also came to terms with what happened. You have to accept what has happened and not confine it. Start off small to mend your relationship. :)
@josephmatthewsuarez1 Yea my mom died a few years back. Hardest thing Ive ever had to deal with. No one understands the pain until they go through it.
@Drew00621 Yes, I agree. I did not have too much family to rely on for support, so I used music as a means to help me with the grief process. It is not easy, but sometimes life happens that way.
@AdoreYouInAshXI I am doing fine, thank you. It has been 8 months since my loss. Even though it may be difficult to not feel saddened by the future loss of someone, I would only hope and suggest that you spend time with your mom everyday and feel blessed that you get to have her for one extra day, month, or decades from now. Take care. :)
wedding song, obvi. it's not even a question....

She is gone now, but the strong emotions in this song helped me cope with my deep depression. Sometimes music like this can be powerful enough to heal your most painful grief. I miss you mom. R.I.P. 1949-2011.

@josephmatthewsuarez1 I bet she was a wonderful woman.

@josephmatthewsuarez1 and now i'm consumed in regret and pain.

@josephmatthewsuarez1 Sorry to hear about your mom, I get depressed every time I think of the day I may lose my mother. Hope you are doing ok.

Take care. :)
