I am not religious but there is a prayer I was taught as a child and in the middle it says, "Help me remember all of the hatred and pain that is directed at me is the hatred and pain the other person feel towards themselves." (I probably didn't even get the spelling or the the proper sentence structure but I hope people get the gist) That prayer has helped me a lot and I apply it to some of the replies.
