We surfed waves this big in 1978 without toe in. It was great. Great tubes. 20 feet high and 30 feet wide.

I surfed this place years ago- at about 8-10 feet- very knarly- ugly beach, water is sandy and the wave is steep and hollow- it will punish you and you will have sand and sea water run out of your sinuses for a month after.

tow in is best for these places- it makes it alot more fun and safer really...this place has killed a few guys along the way. and just getting outside can be a struggle- if you shoot your wad just paddling out then if you get in real trouble you are out of gas..
