It looks great but I cant stand turn based combat. Seriously, why do they keep making friking turn based games when real time is so much better? Turn based is boring and uninteractive. I think turn based systems should have died with the last generation of consoles.

Start dealing with it. Turn based will never go away, it's popular in Japan. If NA's hate turn based so much then they should considerably focus their efforts on trumping the jRPG genre and market.

I really dont see the appeal of turn based combat. It sucks. Its boring. Real time is way more fun to play.

I disagree. There's a market for turn-based combat games, and I'm a part of that market. I like the feel of it, and I like the pace. Maybe it's a nostalgic thing. If you weren't raised playing turn-based games, maybe you don't see the fun in it.

Beautiful, exciting. Finally an interesting game for this console. I like the look of the main character - handsome and original.

I would say Final Fantasy and the PS3 is dead. The PS3 has some great rpgs too and a new one was just announced titles White Knight Story that's getting some hype about now.
And Final Fantasy XIII is supposed to have a new trailer today or tomorrow along with many other PS3 rpgs.
Anyway this game is looking good but to say it kills the PS3 and Sony is a bit too far.

Not really, though I agree: MISTWALKER OWNS. The PS3 will do well, but not as well as PS2, and I can definitely see 360 outselling it, as well as catching on in Japan with heavy support from games like these.
MISTWALKER is basically the new SQUARESOFT of old, reincarnated. Nobuo Uematsu puts it best:

Uematsu: When a company with ten employees grows to employ a thousand people, a lot of things change, of course. The most important thing then is making money. When Squaresoft employed ten to twenty people, the most important thing was to make something interesting and entertaining. All the people were following their ideas and their dreams or did what they thought was right. A company witha thousand employees can't be run on dreams anymore. So there certainly is that kind of pressure.
