Hall effect technological has been around a log time dodge used it on there 2.2 engines for years and it will break down it does not last forever it will fail but not as fast as the old resistor way.
@ncrdisabled@ncrdisabled You are right hall effect has been around a long time. However it has never been used in a TPS application. Typically hall effect will produce a digital signal. We have engineered it to produce an analog signal with today's circuitry. We have run multiple tests on these sensors both in the lab and in the real world and have yet to have a failure. The other advantage is it does not degrade over time. In my opinion it is like going from point ignition to HEI.
