@shatros bouguereau is overrated. davinci wouldnt churn out this sort of limpid overwrought crap. his contemporary sargent is a good deal better as well.
@mittROMNEY666 Sargents work is what is over rated. Sargent was nothing but an impressionist wannabe catering to wealthy clients who fell for the whole impressionism scam. Have you actually seen his work in person? I have, I have been to the MFA in Boston many times, his work is prominently displayed. It is overly sentimental and rendered crudely. The only thing his work has going for it is the composition is nicely ballanced and he uses pretty colors. But over all it looks rushed.
@shatros sargent had a power and vision that was utterly beyond bouguereau. his grasp of value, color and drawing are all superior. Bouguereau never generates any pathos or passion in any of his work, his paintings look artificial and forced. like bad raphael imitions. the bravura brushwork that you consider to be rushed, is in fact the mark of sargent's genius - so complete was his command of pigment that only a few dashes of his brush sugest more than canvases that b. slaved over.
Si, era lo que hablamos de hijos de... en este caso pareja de.. era muy comun, de todas maneras es un caso en francia, pero no para abrir el mundo a las mujeres, porque entonces le quitas merito a muchas pintoras anteriores a esa epoca, esto es lo que hoy en dia esta sucediendo en politica, politicos casados con sus mujeres en el mismo partido, pero realmente sirve de poco puesto que al final se acaba conviertirtiendo en una endogamia cerrada en cualquier gremio, con los machistas al frente.
Detecto un siempre en ti una euforia patente sobre el asunto, pero la realidad es que la historia del mundo del arte hace destrozas y creo que seguira haciendolas, traducidas de muchas maneras.
La mujer llega a pintar con la misma escuela, como si los dos fuera uno mismo.
Y vuelvo a comentar, todavia no me encontrado un canal de un autor frances en tube que recopile autores españoles. ( algo parecido pasa con las artistas pintoras)
