This video is also part of the Scholastic Video Series, on the DVD with "How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight." It's one of my daughter's favorites. Thanks for posting!
I remember seeing this on HBO when they were between movies. I do have this on tape, but unfortunately, I can't find the tape. Thanks for uploading this.
Oh my god...i remember taping this on Channel 4 when it was put on between two Godzilla films on a friday night bout 1989-90. For some reason i used to find the bit when that cave man goes 'Please pass the knife' HILARIOUS
When Stanley and The Dinosaurs was made for TV, they had to pad it to reach 26 minutes. The original version (primarily marketed to schoolteachers) did not include the museum "modern times" part.
When the little girl caveman eats Stanley's food and says "Thank you!" with her mouth full, that's actually the voice of my 7-years-old-at-the-time brother, with a mouth full of bananas. The experience totally grossed the director (our father) out for years to come :)
Yeah i got this on video 2. It hasent bin shown since it was shown ALLLLLLLLLLL those long years ago. It was like a 1 time thing 2 see on TV just like another programme i have on my favorites The Selfish Giant. U dont see that aswell as this anymore.
Some where deep in the bowels of my storage shed this vhs tape hides among many classic animated shorts I taped back in the 80s and I always wanted to go look for it, but now thanks to you I have the ability to watch on my own computer screen, I must thank you a million times over for giving me the opportunity to relive some great nostalgic childhood memories that spawned from this video. Thank you so much for doing this.
Well..you're very welcome! I had this tape laying in my living room, and since I saw no one had uploaded this to youtube, I thought people might remember seeing this old gem. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm glad you didn't have to go search for who knows how long!
What is this from? I didn't think it was from the Dinosaurs! video starring Fred Savage, but I remember watching it... possibly during story time at the local library.
I think it's just a short movie by itself from what I've seen on the internet, because you can buy both this and Dinosaurs! on separate VHS tapes. I haven't seen the other movie in a long time though, so I'm not sure if it's on that one too.
This is really awesome, thanks for posting it!

The film is actually called "Stanley and the Diosaurs". Sergeantkitty is right it's just a short claymation movie on it's own
