Hey... "Listen to the Music"...Doobies... Walt, this was fantastic...Nope...not good enough of a word... can't find it in the American language...Out of this world... Love you guys... :-)
89-94 was such a great time for chicago with dawayne, they had new life, and the sound was so damn good in those years, 1:58-2:28 sounds so good, it was the best time for chicago other than the terry days.
This band at this time was playing an arrangement that was very and more "New Age Jazzy". Funk bass and Funk guitars with all the other keyboard parts. The band has now come full circle and are playing closer to the records. But for this era of Chicago it was a great tour!
I'm not sure I'm in agreement with you two on this particular performance. I was probably Chicago's biggest fan while Terry was with the band. I didn't even mind Hot Streets. But after that, these guys just took an integrity nose dive. The guitarist here has no idea what this song is about. I thought he was going to break into a few bars of Shaft with what he was doing with the wah wah. And who is that on Trumpet??? I never knew they had someone other than Lee.
No, it's Lee Thornburg on trumpet. Look up his picture. He still does fill in work with Chicago, and Lee Loughnane did not do much touring with Chicago in 1992.
I don't think they realize it...but they are Legends...and really need to put it out there more, for people to enjoy! I have to come to youtube all the time!!

DB needs to not be so "lookie-what-I-can-do" on guitar. And Bill, that awful DX-7 key sound has got to go. NOW. Please!

Love the clarinet solo by Walt, it's much better than when he does it with a flute but it still really good! DB is great here to!
Thanks. Please release this on DVD!
