I don't own the 19" Rude Thin Crash but I highly recommend it. It is in my Octavarium video. Go check it out. You can clearly see it in the video and more importantly, hear it.
Hey, that's some sexy Paiste 2000's, i once had a 2000 Sound Reflector Power Ride which i was stupid enough to sell. Sweet setup man, and sweet playing!
The best bet for the money these days is Paiste Alphas. They would be the equivelant to the 505's only newer. So, in my videos/set up the most inexpensive is the 505s. I recently bought an Alpha Rock ride brand new for like $135. But ig you had to, the Paiste PST5's are excellent for the money.
In my humble opinion, the green label 505 sounds far more superior than the signature series. I love the sounds of the 505 (green label) and I would prefer them over the 2002s. Anyway, if you ever sell your 505s, you got a buyer here waiting, Glen.
@paistekid 505's are definitely little gems, indeed. I have sold almost all of them. The only one's I have left are the 18" Crash and 20" Medium, love that cymbal. :)
Wow, your splash cymbals sound awesome. Especially that 11" thin splash.
And I see you're playing with two bass drums now. Daaaaamn. Still recording the sound with your cam? You don't even need drum mics for your videos, man. Everything sounds just perfect.
I've said it once, I'll say it again, eBay is your best friend. You decide you want something then start watching for it and you'll get great deals. Buy and try, if you don't like it, trade for something equal or sell it and use that money to buy something else.
For instance, the 2002 19" Wild Crash I got on eBay for $138. That cymbal sells for $225 brand new.
I am using the Tama Iron Cobra HH905 Lever Glide. I am using a Pearl hi hat to bass drum clamp. The stack is mounted on a Pearl H-100 x-hat.
I highly recommend the Blue Bell. I have considered selling or trading it. I would love to have a 22" 2002 Heavy Ride. But I am content with the BB for now.
Oh very nice, I think I need to invest in a new Hi-Hat stand. When ever I hit my hats I get this really high-pitched ring which resonates well after the right, initial sound of the hats. I know it's not the hats because it was happening with my old pair as well as this new set.
Yeah, that ride is great. Too bad it retails for over $1000 here in Australia, and I too am content with my ride.
Anyway, thanks for an insight into your set up, keep on drumming!
Get any tama they are good hehe i got one at 150 buck its very good i can even move the legs and put the double pedal almost stacked on the hi-hat one XD So they are very close and i can change my feet from hi hat to double very fast and easily. And the pedal feels conforatble , has a fast answer and the overall stand look very tough , the chain on it is about 1inch wide :) Not sure the name of the stand though :(
Not really true if you play eBay right and find good trading partners. I've obtained many of my cymbals, in good to mint condition, through eBay and trading with some trustworthy contacts. Most prices at way below the best deal you can get in any store. Very affordable. Don't try to get a cymbal set up like this right away, build it up one at a time, but take your time.
love the 505

Hi Glen, I'm a guy from Paiste Only. I've got a question.
I'm about to buy a RUDE 19" Thin Crash, I've seen you've done a review on the forum, but I don't see it in your videos here on The Tube.
If you own it, could you please do a video for it? Thanks :)

Lovely cymbal setup!..what are those fittings you have on the cymbal tops?..are they quick release?

Thank you! Those are Pearl Wind Locks. They come on their 1000 and 2000 series cymbal stands and holders. You can also buy them separately.

Hey man, just wonder, what kind of Hi-Hat stand are you using? Or is it rack mounted? Can't really tell.
And that custom stack is really impressive. (Plus I'd sell my soul for that Blue Bell ride)

You know, no matter what Paiste Cymbal line you have, Paiste Cymbals really do sound great together. *Excellent*

Paiste cymbals are the best in my opinion. John Bonham and Keith Moon used them. Two of my favorite drummers. Awesome video by the way.

Who are they ? Joey Jordison and Travis Barker are the best !
Roflll!!!! Kiddin you :)
