Just made this for dinner. I failed horribly at the whole flipping the egg and bread at the same time bit, so it wound up being buttery bread with bits of egg. Since I made two, I tossed a little salsa in the middle and mushed them together to make an eggs-in-a-basket-with-salsa-an­d-possibly plastic-from-my-spatula sandwich. :)

The colour of the eggs only has to do with the type of hen who laid it! This misconception (which is very wide spread) is duping a lot of people into thinking they go for the ecological alternative just because they buy brown eggs :/

Societal facts are silly. Cooking is AWESOME with capital letters. I actually had "eggs in a basket" for breakfast this morning (but I always use a glass to make a hole in the bread), it's one of my favorite things ever. But in my house, we call them "one-eyes" or "hole(s)-in-the-head".
