After they announced the top 8, they made a follow-up video where they said "What about the thousands of other videos that didn't make the top 8?" And they proceeded to show other clips and said degrading comments. (Granted most of those submitted videos didn't have 15+ hours of work spent on them like mine did so I felt a little... surprised?)

At school last year, I wrote a project that took me hours upon hours, which ended up as a 63~ out of 100 (REALLY unusual for me). I asked the teacher why I got so low, and she gave me many reasons that made really no sense, and every time I said how much work I put into it, she just said effort wasn't counted.

I was broken down just by that reason, and so I always say life isn't fair when it usually ignores efforts.
