@bikerD15 hard to tell. It takes several years to design, build and test a new system like that. I drove a 2006 Jeep Liberty with traction control, called it Electronic stability system.
DanielStevenMusic: To a point I agree with you. IF the speaker was going to clearly explain the differences between the systems for each vehicle, then the "Interupter" should shut up. The problem with brand names and ad hype is that UNTIL it's explained you don't really know if what you're getting is what you're needing. That was Interupter's concern, I'm sure. Still, he WAS a little rude, wasn't he?
I like how you guys are comparing trucks with the exact same chassis. The wk and xk are the same truck underneath. Same wheelbase as well. Just a different body.
Yeah, like you know. Funny you mention "enjoy the gravel road", because the Commander is best there. Unless you want to be scraping the undercarriage all the way. I'll stick with my Grand Cherokee and stick to the trails.
What the hell is that supposed to mean? lol! Was that like a jab? Did you type that with tears in your eyes because somebody dissed your ride? I would have got the Grand Cherokee instead of some 7 passenger wannabe.
I Love my Jeep. It goes everywhere as if it was the Wrangler itself and no cracking or squirling noises. I've got the Sport 4x2 and, believe me, if you know how to off road, you don't really need the 4x4. Specially with a Jeep :D
I've done serious O-Roading since i was 8. U just gotta know how 2 drive... check my vid. Thats a 4x2. I've seen ppl make easier stuff in a 4x4 and being proud.
At 2:56, just gotta go with some momentum. At 3:39, by decreasing tire presure to 28, 27 psi, you'll get the traction you need. At 4:30, theres no loss of traction, the jeep's got the stones to give it a lil push to get to the traction zone. AKA: Momentum.
by da way, How come i dont see any of YOUR vids???
i have a question about how you posted you video with it being 15 minutes long. mine is 13 minutes long and it was rejected because it was too long. i dont want to delete it and start over or edit any of my footage out. how did you do that?
actually my commander was faced with a similar incident but with actual rock and snow and then mudd to the bottom of the montain in colorado and i have to say it was amazing, so in real life they do just as well if not better peeprox1991, so unless you have tried it, get ur facts staright.

Theoretically, you could drive a long bed crew cab superduty over all that shit. I've driven a crew cab short bed SD over worse. Nuff said. Fuck jeep.
The bed of a truck isn't as heavy as to get a proper traction unless your pick-up truck is a front wheel drive, and front wheel drive rides are for noobs, leave Jeep alone.
its hardly capability, its a course designed to be perfectly withen the limits of those particular vehicles. out in the real world they would perform much less well.
look. every trail rated jeep is jeep. stop fighting each other. bash some santa fe or crv not jeep.

far away the best 4WD system and AWD.
because it use wheel speed and not torque sensing. result to faster transfer.
Hydra-lok + traction control kick ass!

The Commander looks low to the ground. Would be no different than off roading with a Subaru Outback.

Nah it would be better to offroad in an outback because you wouldn't have that god awful departure angle.
