  • But Waters is nothing without Gilmour, Mason and Wright... They're Pink Floyd!

  • Richard Gere should play Roger Waters in a historically accurate Pink Floyd movie......or, even better, a Roger Waters movie......that would be fuckin awesome!!......if I do say so, myself. I would fuckin watch that, for sure!

  • looks richard gere

  • @brunoglauzer Richard gere looks like Roger...

  • I love this song - Roger is about the only man who can move me to tears just through his words and music. This song alone is far superior to that 'packet of crap' bunch of songs on Momentary Lapse and Division Bell all put togther.

  • Lyrics are great................music is fairly boring. This is why Rog without the rest of Floyd is barely worth a yawn IMHO. This sounds like a leftover from Pros and Cons.

  • Roger was my guru...

  • PINK FLOYD will be the best till the end of time

  • ROGER WATERS IS THE SOUND OF THE MUSIC WE ONCE REMEMBERED BACK IN THE DAYS OF WHEN "PINK FLOYD " WAS THE SHIT. OH, EXCUSE ME THE BAND THAT WE ALL GOT HIGH ON! BUT FOR REAL,... ROGER IS THE FREAKN MAN.

  • Gilmour is nothing without Waters, Mason, and Wright? Please men, you need back to the school...

  • Brilliant Roger, as always :)

  • The most talented composer of music of his generation. When teamed with David Gilmour, they produced the best music ever. Waters/Gilmour right there with Lennon/McCartney.

  • Like syd barrett, Roger Waters has that soft, narcotic voice in his songs and is very soothing. That doesnt mean David Gilmour isnt as talented as Roger Waters. Davids voice is just more upbeat and not as soft as Rogers, but more raspy. You dont have to choose between one or the other because in Pink Floyd they harmonized beautifuly together and are both amazing singers individually as well.

  • you have used amazing pictures of young Roger....can i have them, babylemonade1970? :)

  • Stunning song.........

  • You know, I find it amazing that three of the best songs from the KAOS sessions (Get Back to Radio, Going to Live in LA and Molly's Song) did not appear on the final album. Maybe Roger included the more comercial songs in an attempt to make the album more of a seller in the face of massive competition from Gilmours 'Pink Floyd.'? The thing is Rog, whilst you may not have competed on sales, you were allways head and shoulders above on an artictic level. Us true fans know where to come my friend.

  • today we witness that music speaks to us in" tones not to perfect, but the whole of the sound, but, to perfect the sound of the music that is whole for us to hear.........?

    gifted, he is.

  • @nineteen6t9 What?

  • i even feel like nick mason were importen aswell, since his Slow beat drum way of playing on The wall is Crucial for the special sound, on Comfortably numb, Rick wright is not importen tho, he was kicked out of PF about the time The wall was recorded so he is not even playing on the studio album except some few piano scores etc. and to be honest on Dark side of the moon, im not a fan of his keyboard style.

  • Listen Roger Water is a great song writer and David Gilmour is a great guitar player Im a big fan of Pink Floyd so i cant choose wich one is my favorite .

  • @hamsteradorable no one has to choose, they r both important musicians, writers, artists, and hopefully people.

  • awesome collection of photo's, i bow to you for putting them against this tune, cheers dude.

  • The day Roger Waters seizes to walk the earth will be the saddest day in my life.

  • I used to have this on a large 45 vinyl with Going To Live In LA on the other side. Since I don't have any records anymore, damn good to hear this again !

  • Genialne, mogłoby się pojawić na jakimś komplikacyjnym LP. Trochę mi przypomina The Final Cut i When A Wind Blows. Lubie te "waters'owskie delikatne smyczki". To genialny Muzyk. z wyobraźnią.

  • grazie per il meraviglioso testo e musica roger forever!!!!

  • His voice, so soft, is so warm to my ears... This is one of the best song I've ever heard.

  • @vladvampire I didn´t knew this song but is awesome

  • Roger Waters the greatest rock artist and man alive right now. Plus he is sexy.

  • @Libbywaters74D that's sooooo true!

  • @Libbywaters74D sooooo true!

  • Comment removed

  • I've never heard this track before! I googled it and found out he wrote it for Radio KAOS, but the song didn't wind up making it onto that album. It's not on iTunes. Did this appear on any CD or album? Where can you get it?

  • Gilmour was not talentless but the difference between he and Roger is that Roger produces interesting, evocative music inside and outside of Pink Floyd, whereas Gilmour is nothing without Waters, Mason, and Wright. Roger is talented, Roger is brilliant, Roger is distinctive, Roger is irreplaceable. I can't thank him enough for what he's given the world.

  • @montmorency8050 Creator worship, eh?

  • @NotOrdinaryInGames Some call it recognition of talent

  • @montmorency8050 Always remember that Syd came first. Had it not been for Syd, Roger would not have became what he is now.

  • @hollowsephiroth ... or the death of his father ;) ...or that Bob Klose failed his exam ;) its all a lot of coincidences

  • @MrScorpions4ever Indeed.

  • @montmorency8050 Spoken like someone who actually knows Pink Floyd. :)

  • @montmorency8050 You know nothing. Go to learn more about Pink Floyd. Idiot!

  • @montmorency8050

    I agree. Roger forever

  • @montmorency8050 blah blah blah blah just listen to the music

  • Which album is this from?

  • gilmour was a useless talentless cunt, just a fucking guitarist, of which there are many, there is only one ROGER WATERS

  • Once in your lifetime you will have a chance to enjoy the work of a genius and this is it, Roger Waters is pure Genius, there's never going to be anyone that comes close to his visions in music industry. I love you Roger, you are my hero!

  • 02 may cant wait mon the floyd

  • This song is so good...

  • I always had a dream!!! and it was to see Roger performing live in concert but my dream went way beyond that, i happen to actually talk to Sir Waters during spring time in NYC. Roger the show must go on!!! Love Isabella & Diego

  • @Diego5mia

    Roger really should be knighted. As ironic as it would be.

  • @elitet0kr

    I totally agree. Roger has had an impact on music that will remain timeless.

    Sir Roger Waters, sounds great.

  • While I marvel at Gilmour's ability to hit those notes and sound so incredibly close to what he was at his peak; I've said before that Roger's voice suits his songs in that it is raw and unsentimental. He was never the smooth vocalist, but the colourist who added a dimension to the lyrics that spoke to the tone of a song rather than the delicacy of the melody. JMO

  • Roger and Syd are my favorites, so since your youtube name is babylemonade (Syd solo song from 1970 for those who don't know) and you posted a rare Roger solo song here, I can say without a doubt that you're cool, with great taste in music and songwriting :) Thank you!

  •  I love Roger Waters

  • breathtaking. I love every hair on his head. Only complaint-sunglasses. No one with eyes like that should ever cover them up.

  • thankyou babylemonade, my life has been enhanced with this video on so many occasions, I had the original but wrecked it in a fun drug stupor one night, so you posting it was heaven

  • sole man

  • happy birthday roger waters

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROGER XD

  • A man that can fathom such deep waters...how can he remain so confident there is no God,and no soul. Things I heard him say. But what's even more puzzling is the fact that his hand was warm when I shook it some time ago. So, I knew there was some of God in there. Thanks Roger, your work has taught me some of my own concepts of the Devine. Our Astromony Domain of sorts.

  • is it me or has roger sudenly got Realy Hot in an old guy sort of way

  • Whoever it is , Waters or Gilmour, who is NOT or is REFUSING to work with the other is SELFISH and should tear down that wall that is preventing you from doing so !

    Pink Floyd is enjoyed by so many , please think of us too when you decide not to work with eachother.

  • @Sevilea Yeah I know that would be sweet. Its just that Gilmour and waters are heading in to opposite directions with their music. Roger just wrote a opera and David is sticking with the Pink floyd sound So you could imagine that there would be alot of fighting about the overall sound and message. I dont really think they hate eachother so much or either of them are selfish

  • @eric111999 Have you heard that Gilmour will join Waters on at least one of his The Wall Live 2010 shows and play Comfortably Numb. Look up Pink Floyd Reunion in google news.

  • Going out on a limb, but I gotta say, while maybe not he best vocalist ever (he does have a moving and unique voice), Roger Waters is the greatest song writer and conceptual rock artist of all time.

  • 'Get Back To Radio" is about as melodic as it gets, and no fucking Gilmour in sight, and not being comercially successful is a compliment, it wouldnt be Roger Waters if every thick fuck liked his music

  • @stillclimbin God...somebody else with some musical sense in this cold empty world...somebody else that realizes that roger waters is a rock standing out in an ocean of doubt...somebody that can understand that the vast majority of pink floyd fans give far to much credit to gilmour and rip the life from what roger waters has done...he will always be the driving force behind what pink floyd is in my eyes...and he will always be Roger Waters///the greatest musician to ever live.

  • @ToolandMAIDEN14 what a pleasant change, the greatest Roger Waters/Pink Floyd album ever is the one Im listening to at the time, the musicians who play with him are irrelevant as long as they do as they are told

    I have caused divorces listening to ""The Pros and Cons, as many times as "The Dark Side of The Moon", I have spat in faces listening to "Animals" and I have contemplated suicide seriously after "Amused to Death", as for "The Wall" and "The Final Cut", keep out of my fucking way'!,

  • @stillclimbin

    its always nice to find another person with amazing taste in music my friend...

    while i still do love everything pink floyd did such as "The Wall" and "The Final Cut" i do prefer rogers solo work to pink floyd hands down

  • @ToolandMAIDEN14 , ive always seen "Animals" The Wall and The Final Cut as solo work, they all have the aggression of hate for society, balanced beautifully with oodles of love just as his named solo work, Have you heard "When the Wind Blows", soundtrack ?it spits fire

    long live the almighty, the one and only the genius, the most perfect musical mind of all time, the great "Roger Waters"

  • @ToolandMAIDEN14 Ive crashed the car for fun to the intro of "Have A Cigar", and didnt speak to my father for 10 years after he disturbed me and my now dead mate listening to "Echoes"

    I could recall a 1000 of my best times and they all belong to "Roger Waters" power

  • I love both Waters and Gilmour. Any fan of Pink Floyd would literally be retarded to think that it would be better without Waters or Gilmour. Waters gave PF meaning and depth. Gilmour brought most of the musical edge. Consequently, Waters' solo work often lacked strong melodic structure which explains why he was not commercially successful. Likewise, PF without Waters was musically attractive but not very meaningful and lacked depth. Also, when PF continued after Waters left, you have to

  • @sk8rokklive29 alright well it didnt have a character limit on my ipod....

  • @sk8rokklive29

    eric clapton played on pros and cons...

    while i like gilmour more....

    there was plenty of melodic structure....

    and amused to death dont even get me started....form start to finish ...genius...

    i would give them another listen...there is so much heart in pros and cons...

    i get teary eyed just thinking about it....

  • ROGER WATERS É ILUMINADO, GRANDE EM TUDO QUE FEZ SUAS MUSICAS TRADUZEM OS SENTIMENTOS DA ALMA

  • Beautiful post; thanks.

  • a good valz..

  • Roger is the only SANE man on the planet....Gilmour is HALF sane,,,never forgive him for touring under the name Pink Floyd singing Rogers words....and making a zillion ,,,,,,

  • @DavelovesRealMusic

    I share your sentiments exactly, I have that traitor fuckers name tattoed under a picture of the grim reapers machette, to make sure I never forget his stabbing in the back of the great man

    he should hand over every penny, without Roger Waters, he is just a n other great guitar player

  • @stillclimbin Hello. tell m if I am wrong...butI beleive it was just announ ced that Pink Floyd will reunite (Waters, Gilmour, Mason) and TOUR the world starting Spring 2011. is this true? I heard this on CNN news on July 2nd

  • @DavelovesRealMusic cant see it, Roger Waters tour is still active through May

    there is just no need

  • @stillclimbin I cant wait to see The Wall in New York. I hope he releases a DVD of the tour.

  • THE BEST SONG. ON THE PLANET.

  • to the person that put this together, thank you!! WOW!!!

  • Although Roger Waters is by far the best, Pink Floyd needed everyone-- Waters, Wright, Mason, Gilmour, Barrett-- to be as incredible as they were. But Roger Waters is hands down the best.

  • 1:09 <3

    I love this man

    My life has changed on the day I listened to his voice and to his music for the first time

  • The best of the wold

  • the fucking greatest man of all time , told you Tommy

  • I ment their solo projects kind of sucked compared to their band stuff. I do think early Wings was pretty good.

  • SEXY.

  • this shows how you can compare Gilmore & Waters to Lennon & McCartney.....they totally made each other in thier bands !

  • @dobermandhani - no comparison. RW wrote almost every great PF song (and the not-so-great ones), Gilmore one, arguably three, all with RW's help. With JL & PM it was closer to 50/50. We can still at least hope for some more great music from Roger, which is more than you can say for McCartney.

  • @Bobob49

    Pink Floyd without David Gilmour guitar would have been so good so I think the Lennon lyrics/ McCartney mucianship can be compared to Waters lyrics/ Gilmour mucianship...

  • This song just blows me away..

  • After all these years...Roger Waters still hasn't lost his touch. That's sheer musical brilliance, right there!

  • Rogers waters is a bless now a days.

  • Makes me so emotional.

    powerful song;))).

  • This tune blows away anything else on 'KAOS'. So much more powerful & vintaged-Waters, not tainted by that awful'80s-producion that neutered everything elseon that disc. Would've been a marvelous transition between 'Hitchhiking' and 'ATD."

  • Eu sou simplesmente obcecada por esse homem. Tudo, absolutamente tudo que ele fez, faz ou fará é maravilhoso.Vida longa RG. Obrigada por existir e tornar esse mundo mais palatavel...

  • where is this from? the wall part 2... 3, 4, 5, etc.???

  • it was an outtake from the Radio Kaos album...

  • Thats one of the coolest Rog vid's I've seen. And I've never heard this song before. He is the consummate performer and he actually has an intellect, a personality, and a soul. Three rare qualities in modern "celebrities".

    Thank you babylemonade1970!

  • i love roger waters

    argentina love roger!!!!!

    pink floyd forever!!!!!!1

  • roger... un genio por siempre

  • mukkohaha u cant forget the melodic feel Rick Wright gave to the band. I think of he was as just as important as Waters and Gilmour

  • hehe :P you could have forseen all those thumbs down xD

    Im a Waters fan mostly :P but ofcource was gilmoure just as importen for pink floyd, Waters was the composer and lyric writer mostly, while gilmours Superb Guitar skills and Melodic feel gave them the egde. I dont think we should compare those 2 qualities :P

  • This is from a superclass . No need more words.

  • Roger is by far the most interesting and complicated member of Pink Floyd; he's also aged the best. He's definitely grown into his looks as he's gotten older.His solo work is extraordinary and always worth a second look. There are deep waters that feed the creative output from this artist.

  • Comment removed

  • @drgrl he grew into his face.

  • @drgrl I totally agree.

  • @drgrl u got that right!

  • @drgrl davids voice is way better man,they should have stayed together

  • @5tonyvvvv I never said David didn't have a great voice, very pleasing to the ear... only I think Roger's voice is so much more expressive and totally suited to his songs. Just my opinion.

  • @drgrl he may look better but his voice has blown out a bit, because he definatly doesn't sound the same as when he was 20

  • @DavidGilmour240 No offence meant but I think your EAR HAS BLOWN OUT !! I was at the Hartford CT and East Rutherford NJ concerts and Roger was BETTER THAN EVER !!

  • @llplourde30 I saw him in Tampa! He looks better than ever and sounds GREAT!

  • That's true. David G. was way more attractive than Roger in their day. But Roger has aged much better. I think a lot of it is genes.

  • @drgrl I wish I could appreciate his solo work so much.... I thought most of his solo work was average at best. Pros and Cons was unlistenable for me and Radio K.A.O.S. just barely better. Still, the guy is a god. But to be fair he's more about the lyrics than the music...like Dylan.

  • @DanLetts97 Every ear hears things in their own way, but In the case of both Dylan and Waters, I find their ability to compose interesting and even hummable tunes, a marvel, altho their obvious strength lies in their awesome, original lyrics.

  • @drgrl So true my friend!!

  • @DanLetts97 dont believe you said that.....

  • @DanLetts97 i guess you ment to post that somewhere else :/ Roger Waters his music is as great as his lyrics

  • @thaunbeated At 3:27, when he cries, "The new gen-er-a-tion" Well, it's just awkward. It's too many syllables for the melody. He's trying to cram to many words in there, and it simply doesn't work. You have to wonder why they left this one of the album. I love Roger Waters, but his solo career did faulter a little...

  • @drgrl well said!

  • @drgrl Huh huh, you said "Deep Water"

  • not heard this song for years .wow brings back some memories thanks for posting .ive got this on vinyl somewhere.going to look it out and play till my hearts content

  • I new you would be over here Dean..

    such a powerful song..Love it..

  • Roger the greatest man ever

  • @deansusky the greatest man ever, correct

  • @deansusky correct

  • great images; great song. Roger Waters is my hero.

  • this man rock my soul , am a pakistani woman who love this stuff as much as anything , amazing very much like a fine line between hell and heaven

  • i know he loves you too. He loves all of us that 's what a true hero do. I had three wishes we all do. Roger IS the genie.

  • koooooooooooool

  • ..WOW...im at peace..........beautiful song...

  • gran tema, no me canso de oirlo y grande roger

  • Happy Birthday Roger!!!

  • happy birthday roger

  • roger waters is a legend

  • This is a great song. Hopefully it will be in "Flickering Flame /The solo years volume 2...I am assuming it will another one.

  • MAN, this shoulda been on Radio KAOS. The only waters album that I could say sorely needs some better material (and he'd agree)

  • This song deserve to be on an album.

  • agree 100%. His vocals are brilliant (as always). Doubt he will release another album though....

  • This song is a killer...I love you Roger..

    You give the best music....Beautiful...

  • From a genius of his own, Mr. Pink, George Roger Waters.

    Peace.

  • Roger, you are amazing!

  • I think if Roger wouldn't be a musician he could be a writer. A very good one.

  • He IS already, in a way. And a Great one. ;)

  • where can i buy this mp3?

  • This song contains one of Roger's best lyrics ever..."I will not be a packet of crap on MTV."

    davoid -- Roger played this in 2001-02? Really? I didn't think he played ANYTHING from KAOS (much less a KAOS B-side) after his initial 1999 comeback tour. I know that he did "The Powers That Be" but then dropped it when he toured again in 2000 -- and all subsequent tours after that.

  • I'll never forget,i heard this at a R W concert in 01-02,

    for the first time! It just blew me away. His live sound is so good. 5*& thanks, for posting with the nice pictures.

    ~~~DaVOID~~~
  • Yes its a beautiful song..I love Roger Waters...
  • @redwhitch17 I love roger waters is my favourite saying
  • so many tear jerkin' images... i cant choose one.
    Roger is close to me such as a family member
  • Bestial... !!
  • I love you Roger.
  • Pure Genius.
  • oh im so in the mood for Roger Waters songs....i just love him....
    Beautiful.............im so mellow right now...
  • i always love that mood and i miss it when im not into it
  • what year was this song made?
    nice video, babylemonade. the picture at 2:21 is beautiful.
  • This song was meant for the RADIO KAOS album believe it or not. So 1987 is the year you're looking for.
  • of course that should read ""Great"", my insides turn to jelly, like im getting ebola virus and im going to disintegrate from inside to out, long live the man, i would die to protect his honour
  • thankyou the almighty roger waters for all that has been grat in my life, love you for ever
  • this song just blows my mind...goose bumps...
  • where can i get this on mp3????
  • Did a damn good job with the pictures. I must say.
  • great sad song
  • im struck
  • Piece of ART. Waters is the man.
    Peace.
  • Im in Love when i here this song..?
