I remember when I was a kid I though the mother was saying a POTATO of milk and thinking "What the heck is a POTATO of milk?"

As a matter of fact, I used to think the mother was saying "Potato Milk" until very young kids who were my age when I was very young, were quoting the lines to themselves what the little girl was saying to herself so she will remember what to buy where I learned it was "container of milk." Since I thought it was "Potato Milk" being said, and since the mother and the daughter are two African American people, I thought "Potato Milk" was a type of milk African American people drink.
