  • You sir, are a true musician. That is all I can tell.

  • The only thing i can say is that the guy who made this arrangement is true musician.

  • this comes extremely close to surpassing the original version

  • i also hear some pictures of a city

  • some parts from 21 century man?

  • I am very close to claiming this to be the ultimate version of moonchild i've heard so far! :O as much as i love the original, this one keeps my attention all the way.

  • This is so good.!!

  • OMG I cried!! Excellent!! Thanks!!

  • Interesting version...well done.

  • Skoro muzycy "niepoważni" biorą na warsztat "muzykę poważną", to czemu "poważni" nie mieliby robić tego z "muzyką niepoważną"? Dobra muzyka jest zawsze dobrą muzyką. Czyli: FAJNE, BO FAJNE. :D

  • Awesome and Powerful ...

    I'm flying

  • Bloody brilliant. Thank you.

  • Wonderful version. True music can be played from Classical to Rock. Very cool.

  • oh my - thought this was the weakest song on Crimson's debut album, but these two have worked wonders with it! 9

  • iron maiden?

  • @comeonewtf King Crimson

  • Fantastic

  • who is responsible for the variations ..Robert Fripp?...guess the middle is in keeping with the album concept...love he ending..thanks for sharing this

  • Great performance

  • Played well, the variations are good and the original theme is really beautiful. So what can I say? Thanks for good job! I really enjoyed.

  • 0:26 - 1:48 I have nonstop shivers,can`t help it.

  • yea.

    es una cancion muy triste.

me da gas de llorar ese vielin es muy bueno.

  • Viva King Crimson y ustedes! Muy Bueno!

  • Brilliance Pure Brilliance! Thank you i shed a tear for this one

  • Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!

  • This is such a dream to me, i never thought that anywone would dare to take it to this level, its just that what we feel its the same when we hear Mr Fripps compositions.

  • Critique on Music and Performance: First thing I though is electronic enhancements... (screw the classical world! lol at least for this piece)... the arrangement is lacking as art, though accomplished technically... (isn't that called "academic"?) it's uptight, hence making the performers uptight- it needs some improvisatory freedom (but then the performers risk becoming out of sync emotionally...

  • Something like this should've been featured in the ambient section of the song

  • B R A V O

  • more from this concert please!

  • Thanks. I did actually send the CD of this performance to Robert Fripp few years back, but he probably never received it. Hope he browses Youtube every now and then :-)

  • @Andid74 This is absolutely gorgeous; I'm sure Fripp would love it!!!

    Bravo to you both!

  • Did you (the violinist, I assume?) make the arrangement? Is it all written or is there some improvisation?

  • The arrangement is written by the violinist, that's correct. No improvisation involved. Moonchild Variations is the second mvt of the Crimson Fantasy, the sheet music is expected to be published next year.

  • Thanks for answering. It's very beautiful music, by the way.

Is any of KC's members aware of it?

  • 10 Months later....

    Is the sheet music ready?

  • It is ready, but it is not published and unfortunately I don't know when it will be. I should add also that I did send the sheet music of the Fantasy to DGM. So the good idea is to ask them now. Sorry, man.

  • Lol, NP ;D

  • @Andid74

    6 Months later...

    Status report plz xD

  • Sorry, no news so far.

  • @Andid74 that's too bad, man...this is amazing work here

  • @Andid74 Haha 11 months in the future, in another time and world....

    How 'bout now?

  • @Andid74

    1 year later...

    Sheet music?

  • @Andid74 This may or may not need to be engraved, but I am sure I could get it published for you. Three to five years is a bit long!

  • Fantastic video. I've just embed this in my blog: ELEMENTO MUSICAL

  • GRANDIOSO!! Incluso ésto suena más interesante que el pálido Jam de Moonchild..

  • hay canciones que ya vuelan sobre el aire!

    y aclaran hasta las tinieblas...

    ARTE

  • voglio lo spartito!

  • this was fun...i caught some schizoid man in there too, i have to listen some more to see what else i can pull out.

  • i think i'm wrong, actually it might be pictures of a city. seriously have to listen mnore.

  • they are both pretty much the same.

  • beautifoul!!

  • great job!!!

  • would've been interesting had the gone nuts and improvised for the last 10 minutes of the song like on King Crimson's version. still, this was quite enjoyable, very good players too. and...that organ is massive. i want one.

  • beautiful...thinking about having a band called moonchild

  • Sounds like King Crimson meets Yasunori Mitsda. (The guy who wrote the music for Chrono Trigger; one of the best video games ever made.)

  • Yasunori Mitsuda rules! The Chrono Cross soundtrack is some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard! And CT is my favorite game of all time.

  • gorgeous...precious...thank you!

  • Absolutely amazing! Who is this? Who wrote the variations?

  • Well...some guy, big fan of Crimson. The one who plays the violin on the video, actually. Named Andy Didorenko. He also plays in the band called Lost World.

  • Andy- I just watched Trajectory 1 and 2. Okay, I'm hooked. Any CD's out yet? And I assume you're located in Moscow.

My wife and I just saw the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra last night at The Lied Center in our town of Lincoln, Nebraska (USA). Fabulous!

Stefan Jackiw was amazing on Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major.

  • We formed the Lost World in Moscow when we were still students. But actually now I live in Manhattan, New York :)

We have one CD officially released. It's called Trajectories and can be easily purchased at Kinesiscd website. Our new all instrumental album will be out shortly.

I'm really happy you like our stuff. We are not as big as Moscow State Symphony yet, but I'm sure one day we will perform at your Lied Center :)

  • Oh... my... god... wonderful!

  • Nice, loved this tune since 69

  • pawelek braciszku, it isn't only great-

it's: "impressive...zajebiste ze tak powiem" aniap said;-)
