  • I love The Stand and have watched it several times..this was pretty good..a choice of background music more suited to the movie would have been a plus but otherwise worth the watch...thanks for sharing...I enjoyed it.

  • Ha. Randall Flagg looks like Russ Abbot. Non-British people probably don't know who Russ Abbot is.

  • Nicely done. Shawnee Smith (2:29) was one of my favorites in the whole mini-series. Her other roles are hilarious.

  • The books great, mini series epic, and the comic books are wicked!!! You turned six hours into three minutes, well done :D this vid is in my favs list.

  • what a load of shit, well done mate. youve managed to find every completly useless scene in the film that has nothing to do with the story and put them all together with some stupid music. congrats

  • definately stephen kings best novel. miniseries was ok but couldve been much more epic.

  • @iscream22 the dark tower is much better

  • Laughs at 0:52

  • @MsSarjen reminds me of "maaaattttt daaaaamon"

  • thanks! Just what the doctor ordered. (The Stand is such a time commitment)

  • @FarmerJaneUSA I never got to read the book, but I believe that this story was truly a marvel. I remember Stephen King himself saying that if there was a race that was ripe for the picking, it would be the human race. Something like that.

  • 2:30 HE'S GOT A BUM!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's really the stand under 3 minutes! And here I was being sceptical.

  • M-O-O-N SPELLS LONGEST AND BEST MOVIE BY STEPHEN KING

  • The absolute worst Stephan King movie. Horrible acting, atrocious soundtrack for a horror movie. Makes it seem like a joke. The whole film was a comedy. I laughed through almost the whole movie so I guess I wasn't wasting my time. It's too bad to. I like some of the actors.

  • "I'd like you to meet my associate."

    BANG BANG!

    To funny

  • so listen to me. i watched that whole retarded video expecting you to at least put in "m-o-o-n" but no. fuck you.

  • I am sorry to disappoint you.

With eight hours of footage to sift through, it's hard to capture everything in three minutes.

  • @DrPlotless To be fair, it's a six hour movie, and you do have the luxury of 10 minutes with YouTube. Why did you arbitrarily choose three minutes, a half minute of which is the intro? The Stand in ten minutes would still be pretty much an accomplishment.

  • lol i loved that part!

  • @benjic1636 suck a dick u fuckin fat faggot.. go eat shit and die bitch!

  • "he's got a bonb!he's got a bonb!!!!!!!!!!"LOL

  • 1:34 Old man talking (Dark Tower reference?)

  • Comment removed

  • im almost finsished with this book. i want to watch this series because it wont come through netflix and renting it from blockbuster will be too expensive

does anyone know where i can watch it online for free, and legally

  • So funny XD

  • ya pretty much

  • Great movie! Just watched it again the other day - hadn't seen it for a long time. I can't wait for "The Dark Tower" movie / series. I saw a YT video just the other day with JJ Abrams (creator of "Lost") confirming that work will begin shortly on a "Dark Tower" movie.

  • yeah with jj and stephen king you cant go wrong

except for clover feidl(i know stephen king wasnt involved in that though

  • I haven't seen Cloverfield, but I've heard mixed reviews of it - VERY mixed. Some said it was great while others said it made them feel sick because of the shakiness of the camera, I guess.

  • good news about the dark tower film. i wonder who they'll get to play the role of roland deschain.

  • Strangely, on another vid's comments I suggested David Carradine to play Roland, but he ended up dying - I better not suggest anyone else for the role...

    LoL

  • yes, carridine would have made a fine choice. myself, i was thinking of one of the baldwin brothers... maybe daniel or adam? leo dicaprio can play eddie dean. gabrielle union can play susannah. as far as jake chambers, im sure they can find someone convincing.

  • Good choices. Leo would play a great Eddie. I searched YouTube to find out who Gabrielle Union is and I agree she'd make a good Susannah, too. I wonder if they'll cast the same guy that played "Flagg" in "The Stand" in "The Dark Tower"or someone else since "Flagg" is quite a mysterious character that I suppose could take any form he wanted...

  • jj abrmas is making that movie which mean that it wlll be as confusing as hell, more than it needs to be

  • ive never watched anything made by that individual, but yes, i get your meaning. some adaptations are complicated and no where near being accurate. look at that movie lawnmower man,for example. supposed to be a short story by stephen king and the film version had almost nothing to do with the original plot in the book.

  • thats the way most movies off books are now a days

they rush it through to make money faster

  • There's a vague rumor that Christian Bale is in talks to do it. I think he'd be great. He was fantastic in 3:10 to Yuma...not the same, but it's a pretty clear indication he can do a western, and he's already shown he can do sci-fi/fantasy, which the books move toward later in the series.

  • Okay, now I need to watch and/or reread this...

    So funny!

  • This song is horrifically inappropriate for this movie.

  • thats wat makes it so funny :P

  • Never seen the movie but read the uncut version. Seems pretty good accurate movie. Is it?

  • Ok, I love the book, and the movie wasn't bad either considering I believe it was made for TV, but this was still pretty funny and fairly accurate .

  • 0:41 and 1:22

One of the best actors in the movie.LOL

Its so funny. He laughed at almost everything or was mad...

  • My favorite part was

"I'd like to introduce you to my... associate."

It was the way he said it!

  • I am a huge fan of the "hamburger" part you pointed out earlier

  • lol and then the was the shooting gun

  • Haha, Larry laughing at 0:41:D

  • That was hilarious!

    The music made it great!!

  • This...was amazing...though I've only reaad the book. I knew..kind of what was going on, which made it better, xD

  • M O O N spells wtf?

  • i couldnt do it better myself. <3 the background music also

  • Yay for ragtime music and Nick Andros!

  • lol

  • best part..."meet Heraldo"...LOL

  • "Cotaining this. Hamburger. Quarentine?"

    What's a hamburger quarentine?!

    XD!

  • awsome, totally awsome

  • Nickelodeon player was a pefect touch. Great job.

  • you did a good job summin up the movie, still the whole thing is something of legend to watch

  • lol

  • please dont kill the movie...every hour of it is enjoyble..3 mins just doesnt do it for me...nice try...stephen king...my hero..

  • lol my fav thing about this vid is-not only is it an entire 6 hour movie and 1000+ pages, but the music. the move is a horror, but this is like happy cowboy music...interesting connection

    good vid man, nice job

  • A hamburger

  • That is the most epic part of this whole video

  • Well let´s see if the "piece of cake" is more epic :-)

  • Thats my fave part right there.

  • I watched the movie, and read the book.

    I feel like an idiot.

I could've just watched this in two minuets!!!

Ha ha ha ha ha. Great book/movie though.

  • Nicely done!

  • Great book! I was first in my country to read it. The movie could be better, but there are some good actors in it.

  • nice dude

  • lol :)

  • harold's sexy, I'd be his girlfriend, although i didnt like him after he started being mean, I liked him as the unknowing, innocent boy he was.

  • i beg to differ.

    read the book.

then tell me he's sexy, unkowing, and innocent.

  • I did read the book and yes he's sexy, to me anyways.

  • I don't know about you guys, but Harold's stiff bed sheets are not very appealing to me :)

  • to each his own i guess:)

i find randall flagg simply delicious;).

  • loved the book, havnt seen the teleplay, but fuck i want to bad

  • This was my favorite movie growing up-- I would stay at home on Friday and Saturday nights to watch it when I was in middle school. Despite its worth as a highly sacred, in a personal sense, quality, this was fucking hilarious.

  • Ragtime music makes ANYTHING happier.

  • last time i've seen that movie i was five years old and i don't remember shit from it xD seeing this now doesnt make it any better =P but i LOVE this

  • I love the way the scientist says "Meet,...Horaldo", and shows stu the hamster.

  • You have to admit, Harold was pretty badass when he said he was "A Wild Card"...

    In his pajamas...

  • Doc-that was fantastic. You captured it.

  • abby freemantle lol

  • This was just brilliant. Great.

  • If only you'd have added some of Toms fixation with M-O-O-N, countered as much with more "THE RAT MAN"

  • I believe the good doctor is more fixated with the Rat Man than Mr. Cullen, thus his need to put him in more

  • "I'd like you to meet my associate." *bang-bang*

    Awesome.

  • You missed the part about what happened to stu. Did he just stumble OR did he fall? And you left out Tom completely, and that he and Stu returned to the Free zone.

  • peese of cake *flop* LOL

  • LOLZ! The whole time I was watching this, I was thinking of how wierd this would be to someone who did'nt know the story...8D

  • It seems to me now that anyone who hasn't read the book or seen the movie might be a tad lost :P

  • Funny thing is, I showed it to some people, and they had no idea what the hell was even happening, but it interested them in the prospect of seeing it

  • ...If you put some thought into this, this could be thought of as bloopers. I may just be weird this way, but I thought it was pretty damn funny. Hope it was informative to those who hadn't seen it yet. ^^ good job

  • In all honesty, the point was not to necessarily be informative, but to provide a different spin on an otherwise dark and dismal subject. I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

  • poor gary at 2:17...XD

    ' Piece of cake..*falls"

  • I think this falls somewhere between Epic and Epic Awesome.

    Very nice work.

  • I really want to see this, I just read the expanded version of the book and loved it. I like the idea of Tom Cullen being young better though, he looks older here?

  • Harold Lauder was Fat in the book. Why did they change that? Other than that, he looks just like I imagined him.

  • Funny, but not informing...like if you hadnt read it or seen it you wouldnt have any idea what you just saw, and that let me down because i think you could have done a better job (since you were doing something so pointless anyway) not bad though man

  • lmao this rocks!

  • that was interesting

  • LMAO! I can't believe you got me laughing. Seems so funny like this but I sat and watched the whole movie in horror now I'm laughing XD

My favorite part is "Piece of cake" and then the guy falls LMAO

  • I agree. lol.

  • not bad. i like the light hearted music you chose - kinda benny hill yakkity sax style.

  • epic lol

  • Winner
