I own 7 different flight sims and (unfortunately) am highly addicted to them. HOWEVER, unlike some of you, I have a grasp of reality.

ENTERING a traffic pattern is typically done from a 45 degree turn to get the best possible visual reference of everyone else that may be in the pattern... however, if you are already in the pattern you make 90 degree turns, upwind, crosswind, downwind base and then final. Typically it is on the left, but you are right it can be a right hand traffic pattern.

That game is soo fucking unrealistic..first off, the guy flying it is missunderstood of what a traffic patturn is, your supposed to enter a traffic patturn at 45 degree LEFT downwind to the runway and make a LEFT patturn not right...plus the prop is going faster than a f-16 on takeoff.

You've got the right idea, but there are various ways of entering a traffic pattern VFR, teardrop, standard etc. And the pattern is not always left closed traffic, it's sometimes right depending on the airport's conditions. However; I ain't to sure what pattern this guy was flying. I don't think he was flying one at all, he just took it for a spin that was all.

It is beautifully realistic, but a simulator none the less. Evidence:

1.) There is constant text on the right side of the screen, even when the camera turns. Obviously not part of a HUD.

2.) Lack of a physical body when the camera looks down at the seat (pretty big give away)

3.) Camera movement is discreete along the x-, y-, and z-axis instead of fluid and true 360 degrees like a human head.

4.) The inclusion of "Simulator" in the credits.

Text on the right is not HUD it is just used for

personal reference and it CAN be turned off!

As far as camera movement...It is moving like human head it is just zoomed out, and it creates an effect of wide angle lens(almost like fish-eye)
