  • Just started getting interested in Ubuntu hopefully one day, ill switch over and know what I'm doing.. but I gotta say... I love that wallpaper, anyway you could share it ?

  • What theme is this?

  • The programs would be easier to get if Ubuntu didn't love to freeze so damn much. People bitch about permissions is Vista? This is 100x worse than that, every damn time I do anything I need to enter the password...than theres 5 minutes of idling, than maybe, maybe it'll start installing. So far I am very unimpressed.

  • @HubertTobin Never have that happen, your pc sucks.

  • @DeapSwift My PC does kind of suck, yes. However I've since uninstalled Ubuntu 10.10 and installed 10.04, skipped the updates and everything works swell now. The problem seemed to be with the updates for me.

  • Thanks, this was helpful I'm about to install the 64 bit version of this after church

  • does it play games and has full app support?? if so im sold.. IM FUCKING SOLD!!

  • So everytime i use flash browser games. the Frame rates go while, they dip down to 5 then hit 60. and etc. I only have this because i forgot to write down the CD key to my Vista home premium. Now im stuck with this! FUCK

  • @CoolConejo There's a way to get your product key first put in your vista cd in your computer using ubuntu then open the cd you will see alot of files. You will need to do a serch for a file called untainted text.txt in that file at the bottom you will find your key. Note the vista has to reference the key you put in from somewhere.

  • @CoolConejo Thepiratebay, that is all.

  • what is super ??

  • @yoshi04cgn its the key on the keyboard with the windows logo on it.

  • @MrAntibushido thanks i had found it out before u reply . thanks tho

  • @MrAntibushido Only one thing, it's not a cube it's flat... I can't see any options.

  • @SonOfTheSystem k try right clicking on your desktop and select change desktop background then go to visual effects select custom and click on prefrences right next to it. from there go to Desktop and under apperance click for desktop cube or desktop wall

  • Nice video explained a lot. By the way what program are you using to record your desktop? I used to run camtasia in windows which is expensive but nice quality. What program are you running for Ubuntu. Thanks.

  • @jtmildseven thanks, im using a program called desktop recorder you have to do some configuration to get the video in sync with the audio

  • what's the theme?

  • @deathgod9307 I dont remember but there are alot of dark themes such as mine on gnome look it just depends on what you want and how you tweek them in emerald.

  • sup man.

is it a safe upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10?

will I lose any data when updating the os?

and I'm guessing you fully recommend upgrading

  • @TheRandomBlackGuy its stable and there are some new stuff that comes with it unity for one if you want to try oh and make shore that you back up all your files

  • have you tried docky?

  • @dbuzz na i looked at it but i didnt like it to much but its up to people if they want to try it

  • one more thing how did you get your applets to the right side with your launch on the left?

  • @Erasmus11381 in AWN settings go to applets and find expander and indicator applet under the Available Applets window and add them. Keep the indicator applet to the right side of the expander and keep the launcher/task manager to the left of the expander. I hope that helped if not go ahead and ask more questions ill be glad to try and help.

  • @Lynnc83 yep always taking credit lol but its cool

  • I like your dark color schemes. Very nice!

  • @stmpoodle thanks lol i worked hard on making it look like that and later ill have vids on how to do some things

  • I had ubuntu 10.04 64bit, and I did an upgrade to 10.10. However, after completing the installation, I cannot boot into ubuntu anymore. I select ubuntu at the boot menu, then the computer reboots again and again. I might just wait until they fix this problem before downloading ubuntu 10.10 again.

  • @carpediem5638 it might just be the 64 bit installation of ubuntu10.10 im running the 32 bit version. it could also be that it might be some time before they work out all the little kinks in the programs as it just came out today. but long story short try the 32 bit version.

  • @carpediem5638

direct upgrading is not always stable. You should upgrade by reinstalling ubuntu, if you don't know how to solve those problems.
