This is fine, but perhaps not quite as fine as some of the other best sopranos around. An off- night? I agree; Hallenberg's performance the same evening impresses more.

She was good that night! But I liked Ann Hallenberg even more! They were great singers all of them...but it is a shame that there is no bass solo in this mass because I would have liked to have heard more from Peter Mattei.

She needs to sing both Blonde and Musetta one day, if she hasn't already. I also think she would make a great Despina, but it might be a step down from Fiordiligi!
