hey if u really wanna have that pedal kick some ass, do what zakk does and start with an average tube drive from the amp, and then kick this pedal on and your slamming his tone in no time :)
Wow! I've long known that Zakk used to use an MXR Distortion box in front of his JCM's but never thought it packed "that" much punch to it. I still use my vintage JCM800 amp and an LP style axe with Duncan JB's in it, so I'll have to give this one a look. Been using a Boss GT8 but don't like the coloration & forget about the amp sims. Nothing like having the original package. Anyway, I'm buying this pedal for sure.
I wanted to show the true sound of the pedal without any coloration from an amp so the pedal is going through my computer speakers which do not have any EQ settings.
So everything you're hearing is straight from the pedal.
Could you give some tabs of what you're playing? Also, I have some advice. Just kidding. Thanks for a great demo of that pedal, it's probably the only one that gets a decent sound out of that box, and I'm definitely going to check it out for myself.
yeah, but it is somehow a little heavier than the screamer, well, it's zakk wylde's but if you set it to a mild overdrive and put the output a little higher, it will deliver the boost you want.. and if you mix it with another dist, you may get a sweet heavy metal lead with some gain... if that interests you
Hey, i really want to know what the song at 00:55 is.

Black Dog by Led Zeppelin. This seems like such a popular guitar riff. I hear people play it in Guitar Center all the time, and I play it myself.
