  • Please correct me if im wrong, but it looks to me as if Capoeira requires a lot of space to move around in. I've never had to fight someone, but I would think that you wouldnt have a whole lot of space or time to work with, unless you had been training for a long time. I could be totally wrong, but after I get better at my style, I might look into Capoeria. It is very impressive.

  • @jumper744 There are some capoeira sparring circles that are perhaps five feet across. Capoeira is about control, grace, and strength. Like any martial art, the better you get at it the less space you need to move.

  • This guy does a lot of things wrong... his toes are pointed out, which is bad because you can step on em and break em. Always have your foot flat when you do negativa... never pointed up...

  • His Ginga is done a little more messy than my teacher - we're taught that the hand must guard the face when going into negativa and when doing the ginga. Arm should cover the mouth/nose when doing the ginga.

    Other than that. it's COOL

  • Salamat. I have been trying to get a video to learn this move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Some of you Just are stuck in the fantasy mode

or looking for that magical discipline i hate to burst

some peoples bubbles out ther but no martial art will make you a better fighter and all martial arts can be used in a fight. Its the hart, mind and spirit

that makes the fighter 99% Psychological

  • lol may aswell call these vids

"how to become eddy gordo" lmao

  • I would ove to se you do these movements and then talk.

  • pretty good but your eyes drift from the target

  • Am looking for a mestre or someone that knows Capoeira in Kissimmee Fl

  • Capoeira does work in a real fight, when used correctly. But, I wouldn't recommend using the ginga in an actual fight, as it is easy to get tripped up. The meia de compasso is okay though.

  • please dont film it of the front... or we have to mirror it to learn it faster :D

Would be easyer to view from the back

  • Okay some of you failed.

Capoeira IS used in real fights as well...and the position is a dodge stance.

  • que verguenza

  • why use this position in a fight if "it has a weak defensive position and attacking position"...you never would use this in a real fight.

  • resuming: its like you're doing a cartwheel, like: you put both hands on the floor and then... oh wait! thats it!!!! omg xD

  • @jorgefborges To describe to a "GRINGO" that is a very, very basic description!! Ciao

  • Wot th hell r u talkin abt, u shit!

  • Capoeira is about respect, freedom and individuality!!! How do you fellow capoeirista even dare to say there's smth wrong here? There is no right way, only what works best for you in the moment you need it. Don't listen to the nagging old ladies typing here people. find your own flow. RESPECT!

  • stupid ur not supposed to jump like you did at

47 ur supposed to put ur hand back first and thenmove your leg back NOT JUMP

  • Lots of errors in this video ; this "instructor" keep noone protection!!!! this isn't a good teaching!

  • shut the fuck up, bitches like you

  • have you already take the first belt?????

  • i have the second

  • I learnt this in capeoria

    its fucking impossible

  • hehe its hard

  • its hard???? xD lol... do a folha seca or a salto mortal...

  • all groups of capoeira have differents moves.... and cordas.... axee camaradas!

  • what about showing us normal speed?

  • awesome man, thanks for the basics!!

  • Your Stance is off and instead of keepin ur arm at face level when u go down it should be above ur head to protect ur head from kicks Just sayin from a True Brazilian Sabe q eu tou falando

  • Seriously ... I gotta admit, that you're right. His arm is too low - even though he says that it would protect his head, it doesn't. This way he protects his chest. People shouldn't rate something negatively if they have just no idea.

  • idk if this is stupid, but this move inparticular seems kinda like a hip hop dance (?) i guess. just wondering if that would help?

  • r u a blue belt? .. btw nice stance ... but it repeats.. that just weird.

  • it's not a belt. it's a corda. he's a higher rank, called a "graduado" and it's "azul". he's been doing capoeira for at least 2 years.

and his stance, is the ginga. it's the movement of capoeira.

please, learn about capoeira before you comment on it

  • if he's an azul he's an azul and is a graduado then he's been doing capoeira for over 5 years

  • oops..typo. you're right man

  • didnt mean for that to sound like i was tryin to correct you, just getting the info to the first dude, lol. do you train?

  • i did. capoeira school left the city so i've been on my own for awhile.

  • ugly!

  • Nice

  • I LOVE CAPOERIA

  • me toos!
