Oyama bike are quite nice and looks good. But their current line of folding bicycle are the result of a collaboration with Blomson, which occur in 2009. Our point is, for a similar price, you can have an all equiped Dahon, which are the biggest folding bike company in the world, and with a 25 years history of building (only) folding bikes.
Anyway, we're sure there is many good folding bikes company out there, just make sure the after sale service you can have. (ex : spare parts...).
I think it is the most exemplary demo, ever. Every frame carries meaning. There are no blurbs or advertising claims. It shows and shares and does not nag or lecture. Great, great, video. Thanks!
You definitely have the best video on youtube for the Dahon bike. All others are of poor quality. I like the tranistion from home, to mass tranist, to destination.
@labalbi 16" is slower than 20" wheels, so I would say around 20 km, (around 1 hours), in fact you could ride a lot longer, but you lose maybe 3-5 km/h between 16" and 20" wheels, so it's good to know when you buy one.
Thanks for you answer. I just bought a Dahon Speed P8. Can I suggest you to continue with this great job recording movies ? This one is really amazing ! God bless you ....
@labalbi I rode around the entire city of Madrid, 55 km, on a 16" Dahon single-speed. Of course, I did take about 5.5 hours to do it, with a few stops for food & drink.
Very nicely done video. Absolutely realistic, no fantasy stuff (unlike some bicycle commercials).
In case anyone's wondering... the video was shot in Montreal. Flats with outdoor staircases are very typical in older residential areas in the central part of the city. The subway is of course Le Métro (not sure which stations). The final shot Pavillon Roger-Gaudry at l'Université de Montréal.

We know who tends to rub a chain.

@gbeauregard and this building (Pavillon Roger-Gaudry) is far too high to be accessed with a bike of that sort...

IL est vrai qu'on aurait pu mettre de la musique, mais nous voulions entendre le bruit du vélo et du métro, prochaine fois peut-être !

It's true that we could put music, but we wanted to hear the sound of the bike and subway, next time maybe !
