Some redefine God as Jesus only, when Jesus define God as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Even if God has one name, God is still defined as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Both parts of M 28.19 are true.
You don't ask you children if they want to go to the doctor. You don't ask your children if they want to go to school. You know already that these things best for them. As a Christian, you believe that a life with God in Jesus Christ is the best thing possible. Therefore you don't ask your child. You GIVE them the best gift that you can possibly give: Baptism In The Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you so much for making this video straight from the bible and giving it to the public as an amazing resource to use in the teaching of God. Thank you!
You can not find one baptism in the bible saying the words Father Son & Holy Ghost-- not one. All the desciples including Paul were baptized into Jesus name & it is the only name whereby man can be saved. If you were baptized incorrectly then you need to be re-baptized as Paul did to some believers. Baptism into Jesus name and the receiving of the Holy Ghost converts, regenerates and makes you born again from DEATH to LIFE. This is what baptism is all about. ONE BAPTISM ONE FAITH ONE LORD.
@sahuggins Since there is only one baptism show me all the ways that baptism were done in the bible after Jesus resurected starting with the desciples and Paul.
@sahuggins Also, when Jesus made that statement He also said that all power and authority in heaven and in the Earth was given to Him. He also said that there is no other name under heaven whereby man can be saved. Jesus came in His Father's name and the Holy Ghost was sent in the name of the Son -- Christ -- therefore the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ.
Use His name in baptism!
Read how the apostles baptized people not how your local church does it!
There is an analogy in the sacred text concerning Moses baptism in the Red Sea. It is found in I Corinthians 10:1 - 2. Very well expressed, Thanks dear brother. Peace!
Fantastic video! I really appreciate the purpose explained as to why we do this in our new covenant of His Grace. Very well said. However, the origins of baptism has nothing to do with the Exodus and the crossing of the Re*d Sea. If any reference should be heeded then 1 Peter 3 gives us the clear analogy; that being I Peter 3:20-21 which points to baptism being a type as in the days of Noah. Otherwise, very well produced video and commending tool. Thanks.
great clip, thanks so much for putting this together

Isn't it against your will, to be baptised when you are young
As a child you may be like "Why the hell are they throwing water at me?"

@ abimaelleon, there is a correlation in the Red Sea. Paul makes the connection in 1 Corinthians 9:24-10:13.
