i understand this isnt dune...but i looked for starchild,starchild and nothing! when i first got it, it was a compelation album! i cant seem to remember the album name !!! i love this song want it bad!!!!!

There is a misconception that Dune made Starchild, this is incorrect and caused by a German fan site mistakingly naming the Starchild mp3 as a Dune track.

Kan du på något sätt länka mig till den greatest hits... Jag törs lova att den inte är en officiell Dune produktion. Jag har alla Dunes singlar och aldum i fysiskt format och ingen av dessa innehåller Starchild... Det är lite konstigt med tanke på hur "stor" den här låten blivit... Däremot har jag sett den på massor av torrents där folk plockat med den för att den passar.

You see, I own Dune's complete Discography (atleast the once that are listed on their site and Wikipedia) but Starchild is not on any of the albums or singles.

This is a good track, but as stated by AAAbones101 it is not performed by Dune.

It's true. This song isn't actually made by "Dune". The reason everyone thinks it's by Dune is because of Napster 10 years ago you could find this song often listed as by "Dune". It was common for unknown bands to list their songs with famous bands' names instead to get popular.

But, it's actually by a 1995 Swedish band called "Starchild" the same as the song.

The creator explains that a German who had a Dune fansite got hold of the song and thought it was Dune and hence placed it on his webpage. And since then there's a lot of mislabeled MP3s and MP2s around. Real group and title would be Starchild - Starchild and it was relased on the album Nordic Rave by Fluid.
