@jaedEez That dramatic taxi scene was there for a reason. If they had chosen your 'supposedly better ending', then it's not a very good drama. As Keung was calling for taxis, he was getting upset because of Bo's deal. This displayed how much he wanted his wife back, of course.

Saw this movie many years ago (by paying for it and watching it without all the crappy Youtube pixelation :( ) , but something still intrigues me about the scene between Alex and Stephy in the street. It's filmed in both at daytime AND nighttime. I've always wondered if that was a thematic touch (the characters being like night and day for each other), or just the result of a rushed filming schedule. :D
