as my wife is from there .

    great videos

  • You're absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much and keep it up we all love you!!

  • you sure do tell a very descriptive story. :)

  • Great way of learning art :-)! So much benefits for you and the kids ... Gorgeous teacher; kudos to you, Mr. X!

    :D:D:D

  • Your awesome :)

  • dude i love how u are talkin buddy xD..take care! and continue ur thing!

  • You were apparently a combination of a student and consultant or perhaps a mentor to students. What was the opinion of the school head and indeed the other teachers or perhaps even the school governors? It goes against recognised protocol. Were those people aware and consulted about your presence and activity in that school? If they were aware did they simply turn a blind eye so to speak about your presence there? It is a very unusual and fascinating anecdote :)

  • Very, very inspirational!!! You are amazing, geriatric 1927!

  • You have a great life story sir, 5 stars.

  • hehehe, I just adore the stories of you being intimidated by the teenagers, when you were already a well established business man, great stories

  • probably my favorite so far :)

  • This is brilliant. I love listening to you whilst at work. You are very inspiring.

  • I love listening to your stories... Thank you so much for sharing them!

  • you should record all these to a tape and sell them to me. video tape, audio tape, ect. audio wud be great i cud listen to ur storys wile im chillin in my room with nothin to do, its like havin a book read to ya man, this stuffs great.

  • This is so good, better than TV ;-)

  • Your story (so far) has really inspired me. Thank you for becoming a part of Youtube and I'm going to keep on watching until your story comes to an end. :)

  • this is a "show" its not real!!! wake up geezeee... unbelievable!!!! gullible morons

  • its not a "show" it is real, hes telling younger people about his various life experiences, maybe it would educate you to hear stories from someone who has experienced alot. have some respect.

  • Nice to see someone old who can work comptuers =D

  • You seem so sweet and I like hearing you talk! :D

  • Do you have teeth? I now realise I have never seen any.

  • He's English...go figure. (I love em all, just making an observation for Mr.Gimpy ;)

  • I am also English and that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Just because in England we don't all fret about whether our teeth are perfectly straight does not mean that we don't have any at all!

  • Wow good for you. You never cease to amaze, you stick to things, you have every great talent and characteristic, the impossible you've overcome. That's amazing that you went back and did art.

  • Ya Grandpa completely own Paris Hilton

  • This guy is Paris's PIMP!

  • Forever striving to make sure that all of the experiences that you underwent are passed along to succeeding generations. Great!

    "cat"

  • Are you taking an A+ Certification class? I see the book in the background and it made me wonder. If so, that's awesome, still learning and expanding your skill set at your age. I can see you're not going down without a fight!

  • Oh, what a coincidence! I'm a white girl in Canada (living in an area that's 60 percent Asian), and I've been studying Mandarin too. I've learned it from your perspective, pretty much, so I might be of some help. Though I do suggest getting a Chinese tutor, and not myself. ^_^

    Just quick tidbits:

Ni Hao ("Hello", or "You're Good", literally.)

    Nee How

Zai Jian ("Goodbye," or "See you again", literally.)

    Z-eye Jee-an

  • I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!

  • My familys all down with art, my mom, and my sister, My art however, I wasent as gifted but, I am also an artist just not as good as my family. With pincil and paper, but not painting or anyhting like that or animation. I am going to take some art classes soon at school. Just im not into painting or anything they want to teach you. Im olny good at drawing demons and dragons and what not. very good at it.

  • With each video, I am more and more in awe of your strenth and renegade spirit.

  • by the way, what happened to the motorbikes pics on the background? i love bikes and you know how they feel :)

  • Hi Peter,

You have a secret that got lost. You have no fear, trepidation or *old people snobbery* of the younger generations. You embrace them, you embrace their music and interests and as you accept them and relate to their human condition. Many, many adults could take a lesson for you...if they did, I guarentee so many kids who feel lost and alone could be found.

You are a miracle and I hope you impact your peers - because all us younger folk need your kind wisdom.

    ~S

  • As always, made me smile

  • Finally^^ I don´t get to check my email acc very often lately ^^ wuhaa searching for somthing like a reply for a comment isn´t alway easy^^

    thanks

  • that kid was a jerk

  • are those cigars behind you? um Cigars are bad for you

  • he is an old man. if he wants to smoke cigars, who cares, duh..

  • If when I reach your age, I can look back at my life and it's as interesting as yours, I will be a very happy man!

  • Heh - I had that exact same book you have in the background.

  • Thanks again Peter. that's all I can say. Don't ever stop ok!

  • good luck with your art tests!

  • xoxo

  • A good story, you were very brave to go back to school and ask to learn art, it does show that some schools are not as bad as people think. You have an interesting life.

  • he likes blues, jazz and country....im fairly sure

  • i wonder what kind of music he's into

  • Hey man! let me first say something, then ill explain the reasoning behind it, you saved Youtube, ok now for the explaining, I first came to Youtube when it first lunched, and it was a great site, WONDERFUL, then all these Teenagers (which i'am one, im 18 years of age) came on, and started whining, and crying and fighting with each other, and i honestly only came on about once a month *Continued on next post*

  • BUT YOU! have saved youtube for me, your videos are fun, interesting, and make me have hope for youtube.

Anyways just wanted to let you know, your awesome, and your the ONLY video Blogger i can watch and enjoy.

  • Its really cool that you were accepted for the most part by the students in the school. And it must have taken allot of guts to go to a school and sit in a class full of young people and learn allong side them. I don't think I would have the courage to do that. Im interested to hear how you got on in your examination!

  • I hope you make more videos after you're done with your Telling it All series!

  • hi i am chinese by race but who has never been to china. I live in singapore, n i posted an irrelevant video blog in response to your video so that u can see me, i'd make a new one specifically in response to your videoblogs in the near future. Just to tell you, that i really appreciate your videos! :D

  • great videos sir

  • I think young people deep down enjoy hearing older people speak. they know wisdom and sincerity when they hear it. good jop Pepe.

  • Way to Go!

Your continuing to learn and study in life is so wonderful.Your telling of the bully standing in your way- but how you just blew it off and continued on with what interested you- was fantastic. Its really a universal truth. If you just keep your eyes on your prize, everything works out. Please continue to tell more.

  • Thats not a very nice thing to say.

  • why do u say that? just because everybody likes him you want to do your rebel and write insults...wow grow up man

  • thats a discusting thing to say. we dont need your comments. oh, and you dont have to watch these videos.

  • I think it's so neat when I see elderly people in school! I work with them a lot when they go to the library since I work at the campus library. I think it's so great to see people want to go back and explore different paths in school or just go back in general.

Thanks for the awesome video! :)

  • Kudos! Keep it up! Very interesting....

  • Peter,

What do you think of the international politics going on in the world, more specifically the role of Britain and the US in the middle east?

  • You are so interesting. I will keep watching you every time you post something!!

  • I'm so hooked! I can hardly wait until the next video!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pe2_ixh1H90

  • I've just worked my way through all your material and I think it's wonderful what you're doing here. Well done with learning about today's newfangled technology and thank you so much for telling about your - quite frankly - very interesting life. Keep up the good work!

  • Hi Pete,

I've been watching your series from here in China, Shanghai actually. Though I'm an Aussie expat.

  • I'd heard that Youtube was blocked in China. Obviously not (and glad to hear it).

  • Youtube has always worked fine here in China. Unfortunately google videos doesn't work though, but I think that is just google trying to save on bandwidth costs.

  • Your an inspiration, I'm 35 and going back into education to study design! God bless you

  • your in your middle 50s? mate you look 70 or something no offence I know people in their 60s who look like they are in their 40s

  • Icew0lf - he's referring to his age at the time of the story, not now :P He's 79 :)

  • why slag off this guy so much? yeah its not exactly one for the wank bank but still ... you got it wrong anyway, hes 79 dumbass!

  • Well, before you go making comments why don't you take a moment to consider why it says "Part 6" at the end of the title. Check his profile, even. He's 79 years old, according to an older clip of his; and he's at the part of his life, which he is explaining (hence "Part 6"), where he is around 50 years old. Common sense is lovely.

But on a different note, I admire your clips Peter. Keep up the good work; I enjoy listening to your words.

  • sounds interesting... mid fifties? maybe...

  • Pleeeaaase be my grandaddy!! T___T!

omaiiwa kakuiii!! >__< keep up he great work! ^.^

  • yer u shud make a movie ur ace

  • I want a movie about your life, plenty of people in hollywood looking for things of this nature. Also you could easily hire some people(PR firm) or get some willing volunteers to help you manage all the press you've been getting. If I may, take a vacation you deserve it :)

welcome to the global village, friend

  • Wow, I hope my life turns out as good as yours! I'm 14.

  • Ohh, good video!! more about it in http://www.mapa mundix.com

  • Your a nice guy. I wish I had a grandad like you :)

  • Hi Peter, art was not what I anticipated you would choose from a motorbike enthusiast!!!! I like your story about the trouble maker. There are always trouble makers, school, work, terrorists, you've had some nasty comments as well from people that are generally very very insecure and we should feel sorry for them I suppose, but that not always easy when they are beating you up! Great story I'm about to look at part 7 now. See ya ;)

  • I enjoyed this post very much. Your humor is refreshing and uplifting for me at a time when I need things like this to make me smile. The comment above by skatemate was particularly amusing. You certainly have a variety of ages enjoying your videos. Thanks again! Cindy

  • Great stuff, I see the new earphones and mic are working well. No reason to sit in your old room, go have some more fun. who said being old is boring.... party out and have fun..... take all the ads and money you can get from you tube. The next Video I want to see is you on the Octupus with paul allen, drinking Arran single malt and kickin his ass at basketball. that would be cool.. your great, keep it going.

  • That chinese word you said was good i don't speak chinese though nor btw i'm not chinese..

    Keep the good work!

    Hannah

  • What happened to Part 7 of your video-blog? It's gone!

  • Hello, Peter, I am a 15 year old Chinese student living in Hong Kong. I was blown away when you said 'zai jian'! Lol. I can only speak Cantonese, which is, trust me, 12847914 times harder than Mandarin. Cantonese has about 16 or more tones while Mandarin mainly has 4. I'm currently learning Mandarin in simplified Chinese, I grew up learning Traditional. :)

  • Hi peter im from perth western AUSTRALIA i saw you on the news on tv and ive watched your videos and im addicted your a great person - and i cant wait to watch the next instalment!!

  • One could say that this art class is very much like YouTube. We have all taken you on with open arms. Good show keep it up.

  • There's always one of those people no matter where you go...it sucks pretty much. But I noticed the A+ cert book in the backround. are you A+ certified or is it just for personal hobby sort of thing? I am working on getting certified so I can make good money for college.

  • Kewlios

  • You know, other than Europe or the U.S., your name is also known in Asia. I saw your name on a newspaper in Hong Kong. I was so curious and I searched you on the youtube. So, I am here.

  • I think all those students were well aware of the privledge it was to know you. As we do too. :)

  • I love it that you keep trying different things.

  • Oh..sry..wanted to comment on sk8erboyy8 (?) 's comment with the ringtonecommercial.

    thx, [Germany]

  • TWF? DELATE THIS...That's not nice man!

    thx, [Germany]

  • Some people never change, huh?

  • If anyone is interested, I have started a Google Group for Peter... It is at http://groups.google.com/group/geriatric1927fanclub

  • Peter has made it clear that he does not want websites such as this set up. PLEASE respect his wishes. Otherwise, you are NOT a fan.

  • i am pretty sure that you sir, will not have the time to read this, but, if that one boy with the dominant attitude saw you today, would regret his actions, i am only 21, and i'm only wacthing episode 6 today, and i call tell you this from my heart, you have made a difference. I have always wanted to seek advise from a more experient person, though i never had the courage. you, here, give "us", the proud, just like that young boy in the hallway, a chance to learn... thank you.

  • Agreed

  • I think you are great, i would love to know more about your interest in music.I know you like Blues.Do you like Van Morrison? He is my favourite singer of all time.

All the best, Pat (Westbury, Wiltshire)

  • Excellent job peter. I'm loving this. Keep them coming. I can't wait to here more about your life. It's just nice and refreshing. Just awesome.

There should be a film about your life, Peter.

  • the website advertises in this message is a fake and a fraud, and has been established against the express wishes of Peter. Anyone who supports Peter will NOT go to this website and will work to take action to have it removed. This is cynical exploitation

  • Peter, have you ever tried an indian delicacy known as an onion bajji (spelt different everywhere, but pronounced onion bah - jee). They are delious and come in many flavours.

  • You are so amazing. I can't imagine having the nerve to take a class that way. Awesome.

  • Pure genius... bridging the generation gap and showing all of us what the internet and youtube should be used for, nothin less than a revolution, you've even made it onto sky news! keep goin old boy!

  • I really enjoy the videos. Your like a slice of old England, when England was nice. They only thing that drives me crazy is, your always worry about the time. there no need. please do one with out checking the time. 8 - )

    .

  • fantastic

  • more of us should do this , get our life history down for future generations

  • You should have twatted that gobshite right in the shitheap.

  • Hi Peter, I think you are such an inspiration to everyone who is trying to accomplish something new.You seemed to have masterded this (video uploading) in addition to everything else you have talked about thus far. I watched all of your videos in one sitting this morning and love hearing your life story. I am anxiously awaiting the next edition. There is no better way to learn about history than from someone who has actually lived it. All the best to you.
