I've seen both tiesto and deadmau5 live in different occasions and I still cant get over the idea as of why ppl like to compare them I agree both are great dj as far as producer deadmau5 is slightly more hard core while tiesto tends to be more main stream and clubby, i love both styles, however personally i prefer armin who is a superb producer and fuzes beat amazingly and tends to more modest about his skills...anyways enjoy the musik

There is a strong argument to consider Tiesto the Greatest Musician of all time. Not just Dj, but musician. There are many reasons for this mainly to do with his ability to entertain a crowd, but more importantly the pure genius of his songs. Add to the fact that very recently he completely rechanged his genre of music and was still able to produce an amazing album. That can't be said for many artists.

Tiesto undoubtedly is able to entertain and sellout an entire stadium, but that is a gross overstatement to say he redesigned his genre. Tiesto has been making generic mainstream trance for many years now, and continues to do so. Very little of what tiesto does is innovative. IMO his older work is much better than stuff he produces now. As with anything music related its all personal taste however. To me Tiesto isnt anything special, to others hes great. As long as you enjoy it thats what counts

Many people do not agree, normally as is the nature of this debate.
