  • Lalanne is the man! Luv him. We watched him in the hood back in the day.

  • Jack would've murdered that guy

  • perfect response Jack... U wouldn't want to hurt anyone , not U mission. Love U jack... miss u more. Newport Beach, Ca

  • Jack was older? Seriously?!? HE WOULD HAVE MURDERLATED THAT GUY!

  • Is this guy still alive.?

  • Hey, isnt this is the popcorn guy Orville Redenbacher?

  • LMAO when they said he was being challenged by a younger man I thought it was like some 30 year old lolol Oh that was great :D

  • Good bye Jack-I wish I could have met you

  • Jack and Elaine Lalanne would have kicked this guys ass!

  • Jack had a great sense of humor.

  • RIP Jack Ride Captain Ride!!!

  • Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum!

  • The old man--not Jack--is obviously becoming senile fast--note the irritability that originates for no real reason--the almost delusional thinking.

  • Hi brother needs to chat a, Asian women busizz4me.info

  • I don't believe he towed 5 boats swiming. Unless the current was on his side. Arnold or chuck couldn't do that. While swimming? Think about that realistically..

  • @vexun11 You clearly don't undertand fitness then, Arnold was a bodybuilder and assuming by 'Chuck' your talking about 'Chuck Liddell' the UFC fighter, there completely different types of excercise Jack worked endurance to be able to towe the boats.

  • @vexun11 --that feat as well as all the others he did are incredibly well scrutinized and documented. You obviously don't know what you are talking about.

Arnold took steroids and lifted weights---have you seen the way he looks physically lately? and he's 30+ yrs younger than Jack--Chuck L? An MMA fighter who's fighting career is now over--he's lost what? His last 5 or 6 fights? Both these guys excelled in their day--the big question is--will they stay fit long after their glory days? Most don't.

  • @Cavall123 well put, cavall

  • @vexun11 if he towed 70 he probably could've done 5

  • My great grandmother is 96, she finally settled down in a nursing home this year after just not being able to do as many things as she could at 95 and below. But let me tell you something, she exercised everyday her whole life and out of everyone in the nursing home, she's the only one walking without a walker or being pushed in a wheel chair. She tells younger people to move out of her way because they're too slow. Lova ya Nonna!

  • "He oughta challenge my wife" lol

  • gooooooooooo Jack your my hero

  • carl22069 i believe it was actually 13 boats with 76 people total aboard. some kind of patriotic thing 13 colonies, 1776

still that must be 15000 pounds minimum. pretty incredible

  • he'd break his glasses down the middle and then take his popcorn

  • I wonder if this guy is related to Izzy Mandelbaum? "Jack, you think your better than me"? "It's Go Time"

  • I knew his brother in San Francisco, he used to always say, "Stop this bus and let my brother Jack off". A character for sure.

  • My Uncle Elias Rodriguez once beat Jack in an arm wrestling contest when they were younger men. I think Jack is a legend!

  • Jack can kick his ass!!!

  • amy is so hot

  • He got on television.

  • For a while, I thought the challenger was Orville Redenbacher.

  • hahaha!

  • Jack was kind, humble, and correct to keep that older man safe from falling upon his own prideful maligned thinking.

We owe a big thanks to Jack for what he's accomplished in physical awareness over so many decades.

Thanks for living a long frutiful life Mr. Lalanne!

  • Jack would've won by way of Default Knockout.

(The other guy would've croaked from a heart attack at 30 seconds of the 1st Round.)

  • jack's wife would've beat that guy

  • If this were a newspaper article, this headline would have read, "Jack LaLanne declines fight with the Crypt Keeper."

  • If you dont eat junk and exercise you will live forever. Jack Lalanne will never die because he takes care of himself.

  • Amen

  • "I can't die, it would ruin my image"

"If man makes it, don't eat it"

"If it tastes good, spit it out"

3 of my favorite quotes from Jack!

  • ha nice quotes

  • Injuries heal very slowly as age advances. What got into this guy? Most men have given up fighting in their 50"s. Predicting the winner is impossible. I'm glad that Jack's ego didn't move him to accept the challenge.

  • A couple of spunky guys - may we all know such spirit in our own lives.

  • wow what is that guy thinking, he was getting spotted on curls with 10 pound weights and wants to challange lalanne....

  • lol

  • LOL

  • LaLanne would have knocked the guy in the middle of next week!

  • yeah, this guy is senile, Jack is not

  • Although the comment about challenging his wife was somewhat condescending, I think LaLanne was right in declining...someone could get hurt...and not from a punch necessarily. At that age, fragility is an issue...it's one thing to work out, but to exchange blows in a ring is pushing it. They're both great. A better challenge would have been something low impact, like arm wrestling.

  • Horton Who? Jack Lalanne has been an iron man for 80 years now this guy comes out of the woodwork.....what has he done to qualify for a shot at the title? I remember a Groucho Marx show Jack was on in the 50s and he said he lived in a tree house ...I thought he was the sniz then and I still do.

  • Could be "family genes". His brother, Norman LaLanne, died in the San Francisco-Bay Area a few years ago about a month short of age 98. Don't know if he was a disciple of Jack as he has never mentioned him interviews to my knowledge...except for that childhood story of chasing his brother with a knife (or axe) supposedly because he was on some sort of "sugar high".

  • 'he ought to challenge my wife!'

  • Grumpy Old Men haha!

  • dayum he sd "he should challenge my wife" lol I just learned of Jack today...I think he would've whooped dudes tale but this is wonderful

  • I live one mile away from him.

  • agreed

  • Forton seems to not have understood that fitness & wholistic health is not the same thing as fighting.? Jack perhaps declined not because he is not strong or healthy enough to be able to, but because he is more conscious & respectful of Life, health & value of Love over animosity than interested in a mindset of fighting. Which imo reflects a more enlightened consciousness on Jacks part.

  • Jack Rules, period.

  • he probably wont die until he is 130 :O

  • Amy's hot!

  • there are some that remain sharp as a tac well into there 80s and 90s and lalane is a good example of that. wish it was in my genes

  • I dont think it's his genes. I think it comes along with towing boats underwater, and showing housewives across america how to shake it.

  • it's not about whether it's in your genes, it's about whether youre willing to change your lifestyle habits. Anyone can do it, they just need to set goals, keep them and stop being lazy. The most important thing is to be enthusiastic about life. You gotta want to live to achieve.

  • Jack is mentally sharp, which is what is so great. I worked as a nurse in a Nursing Home and 93 is OLD, so you really have to understand how fantastic Jack is at his age. Bless him. He's lived what he has taught.

  • jack would have won, no need for a fight. =D

  • Great Spirit

  • would be a delightfully grotesque spectacle

  • we should see it in the new "Jackass the movie"

  • Jack would bury him. Literally.

  • lololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HA! HA! HA!

  • really, it seems he stopped doing them, does any one know?

  • wtf? He's 91 and he looks 75!

You're going to get old no matter what but you can drastically slow the pace if you take care of yourself. Thats Jacks message.

  • @coperniciaTalent He's 95 years old, I doubt Facial Exercises will do much good at his age.

  • Yess, I cant wait to see this.
