What I think the real difficulty buyers will need to face is this Maserati or the Aston Martin Virage Volante. The Virage may have 46 more horsepower, but you don't but these cars for pure speed, just speediness. Also the Virage looses some of the looks with the roof off and costs $65,000 more. I'll take the Maserati.

the problem lies in the fact that Maserati is now owned by ferrari and ferrari just wants the profits not competition. Im sure this car isn't what you would call slow, but for $130,000 it should have more than 444bhp but it wont because ferrari doesnt want anyone considering a maserati over a ferrari. Not to mention its not like they couldnt extract more power from the 4.7 liter v8 ferrari gets 562hp from a 4.5 liter v8 in the 458. someone else should buy maserati and make it better

@hpkntnw I like to think of more of a realistic approach if you want Ferrari. The Maseratti gets it's engines from Ferrari and are all tuned in-house. Ferrari is of course, Fiat's top end marque, so of course they would tone down Maseratti a bit. Personally I like to think of Maserattis as the luxury side of Ferrari. Not to mention a Maseratti is cheaper.

@DrummingAli93 I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Astons. They are my ultimate dream car. Like, I love Astons like no other. And yeah, I would totally buy one if I could. The V8 Vantage S in that new cobalt blue colour is a stunner. This Maser is interesting because it's also got a V8, but it produces more horsepower (I think) and is in the same price range as the Vantage. But in terms of size and looks and seating, it compares to a DB9 for $100K less!!!! Hard to pass up I think!
