Actually, huwarj, one of the main reasons for the attack was retaliation. @WaleedDaGreat It was much more complicated than that. During the Iraq-Kuwait war, Saudi Arabia feared that developing into a war with them and Iraq. Osama Bin Laden wanted to go in and fight Iraq the way he had done in Afghanistan as the Mujahideen, but Saudi Arabia didn`t think that would work. Instead they invited the U.S. Coalition forces to help out (Gulf War) allowing them onto Saudi Soil.

He also seemed to hope A U.S. Invasion would united the Islamic Middle East in battle.

The 9/11 hijackers weren't oppressed by America. They were rich kids educated in the west and brought up to believe the perfect word of Allah, the Quran, and this includes the doctrine of martyrdom. If you take religion out of the mix then you wouln't do 9/11 because it doesn't make any sense. You kill yourself, you kill innocent bystanders and then you start another war in the middle east. Religion is the essential ingredient.

No, we don't have the same brain.

By that I mean that a person of faith has what is known as the god portion of the brain, it is in the frontal portion of the brain.

This portion actually shuts down, and stops functioning properly in the person of faith.

This is why it is extremely difficult to have a rational discussion w/ people of faith, as that portion of the brain simply stops functioning properly.

Although we both potentially have the same brain, in people of faith a portion shuts down.
