  • How do you overwork? How can I avoid ever overworking?

  • I have a ruptured bicep tendon (complete torn into) the long tendon is it true the surgery is only cosmetic?

  • 0:27 isn't it lethal to have bubbles in your blood flow?

  • @pyromanizak Um.... you think their are in his veins?

  • @Puzzlaholic No but won't the air bubbles eventually get into it?

  • @pyromanizak The operation has nothing to do with the blood stream... Do you see blood?

  • not disgusting at all!

  • I have pictures of this stuff for my shoulder surgery. my last name has bird in it so I just thought they were bird feathers inside of me..

  • Looks like chicken

  • AAAHHHHHH!!! *runs away from computer*

  • Very interesting and educational video. Thanks for posting. I hope you make a full recovery...actually I just saw the date this was posted so I hope you already made a full recovery haha.

  • what is he using to reattach it? i don't understand.. is he stapling it or what?

  • Y is it fluffy :/

  • @LoLimrandom123 Scar Tissue.

  • was he conscious when this was done?

  • @Finnythegoose I deadlifted as a youngster, but this damage was caused by 30 years of extreme (for lack of a better term) rock climbing. Lots of hanging off the arms on steep roofs.

  • can u lift heavy or have any effects? or is it back to normal

  • SPREAD YOUR WINGS BE FREE!!!

  • does it taste like chicken?

  • Was the patient put to sleep during this or did they use local anesthetic?

Obviously the surgeon is talking to the patient but I cannot figure out if it is in real time or was the video voiced-over after the surgery?

  • as a hairstylist i am living this nightmare. no work for 2 months.

  • @luckylily115 Get the fuck out.

  • they drop your temperature and blood pressure to reduce blood flow and then pump saline into the area to...all of this reduces blood flow in the area during the procedure. I did have quite a bit of bleeding after, but only for one day. I had bruising from my shoulder to hip for about a month.

  • i don't get something though... if this is a camera inside your arm, where is the blood?

  • @ricardomaman There's no blood because they didnt cut any major vein, and some little blood that there was was washed out.

  • what is that white feathery stuff???

  • dude your tendon looks like shit lol

  • congrats on surgery, sans pain. it took me a while to return to my pre-level of activity, and it still hurts occasionally when I push too much or when the weather changes. Two words for you - PT. Do it and do it right. It will get you back in the game more quickly. As far as recovery, I'm pretty much back at it.

  • had mine done a few days ago, not in to much pain feling good to be honest. was just wondering how you recovered after and if you had any on going problems?

  • I snapped mine 2 years ago and was told by the local GP nothing could be done so I tried to use it for another 6 months but the bulge and the pain got worse so I went to the big city and a bone doctpr screwed the tendon back onto the bone so I can use the arm again, well its been 6 months and its slowly getting better but still can't use any twisting movements but at least I'm smiling again.

  • i wonder what mine looks like lol

  • To multiple posters: The doc "shrink wrapped" the fur. He just eliminated it with heat which consolidated it back into a sort of tendon. Still, I only have 70% of my biceps tendon left. Next stop, attaching the bicep to my humerus. Not something you want to do.

as to the lack of bleeding - they drop your temperature and blood pressure by a lot. I got charged extra for this. It was call "anesthesia w/ complications." No complication at all for this type of surgery. I was billed still. Go figure.

  • that is soo fucking cool!!!!

  • why is there fur inside his bicep?

  • @LESBOXING it's my frayed bicept tendon.

  • @koda513 But what's the FUR called?!

  • @tehshortnoob it's the tendon...

  • @LESBOXING thats how it looks like when it damged

  • whats up with those feathers

  • is the doc using an extra part off of his sons bicycle it looked like a handle bar

  • it looks like someone put a wig inside his arm

  • lol always stretch before your workouts boy and girls

  • I'd give my biceps tendon to sell that equipment.

  • it looks like hair.... floating in water so cool!!!

  • What it is?

  • @Stronghulk1 it is a frayed bicept tendon.

  • @koda513 What happens if you cut the fur?

  • @koda513

yesyesyes , but what does it mean ?

what's the white stuff ? i dunno what frayed means and i dunno what tendon means.

How do you get this injury?

  • ok thats looks like a birds feather and it looks like it would hurt to cut the frays or what ever they were. did it hurt or was he on pain killers?

  • Yep; 30% frayed bicept tendon. From chronic, athletic over-use. The fraying didn't hurt, but the recovery did. The surgeon did a microfracture as well. Only took pain meds for one week.

  • @koda513 how can we avoid something like this to happen? :P

  • @behinddacurtain dont used mixed grip on a deadlift, mainly

  • @beebogroll thanks :)

  • how is the image so clear? is the blood clear???

  • @Necropolis20123 theres no blood. they use some medicine thing to control it

  • This surgery is frightful and awesome in the same time

  • Im having this surgery on Friday. I tore my tendon by holding onto my harley to keep it from high siding. I did it without thinking about what I was doing and ended up pulling my arm out of the shoulder socket. I ended up tearing my tendon near the bone. Im looking forward to the surgery. Im tired of being in pain!!

  • I wish you all the best. As long as you have a great surgeon, this is the best decision you can make. Living with pain and limited functionality is no fun. Post an update.

  • @bobtaint I was sopposed to get this done today. Was ready to walk out the door and got a call saying my surgery was cancelled because the dr. got sick. So to be continued.

  • how did he destroy his tendon that much!? im pretty sure a bicep doesnt have the strength to tear a tendon so he couldn't of tried to lift too much...

  • detatched right outer bicep could'nt be reattached to shoulder-the dr. put a hole in my upper arm bone and re inserted just below the shoulder. I wonder why he could,nt put it higher?? Like back into my shoulder??

  • How are you now? My Dr. told me I should be back in shape in around 4 months. How was your recovery?

  • Never the same. No pain ,but bicep is shorter.

  • Im looking forward to the no pain. I can live with a shorter bicep but, I will bring that up to my doc. Thanks for the heads up.

  • I don't know about signs for tendon repair, but I can say that I knew I needed tendon reattachment when my forearm muscle dropped down in my arm. Keep that in mind...repair is always better than reattachment. I can't bend my wrist back past an upright position anymore...

  • dropped? what a pleasant surprise

  • fuckin shredded man..

  • As long as you don't tear your muscle or tendon, you will be fine. Any sort of inflamation or soreness are just warning signs. listen to your body, if it hurts or is sore stay off of it for awhile until you heal up. If not, you could wind up tearing your muscle or tendon, which in that case is not good. Usually at least year recovery...might never be the same either.

  • looks like cotton candy

  • does anyone here now about sore biceps/elbows?maybe slipped bicep tendons?any help please

  • bicep goes into forearm sir..

  • i wrestle and i workout and i recently got diagnosed with having an inflamed bicep tendon should i be really concerned?

  • I was diagnosed with an inflamed tendon/ tendinitis in my elbow almost a year ago. I kept working out and thought it would go away on its own, I was wrong. If you keep stressing it before it can heal that can cause irreversible damage. A few months out of the gym is worth a full recovery, I learned the hard way.

  • thank you very much for the help it is very assuring

  • As a body builder, this is my worst nightmare.

  • lol thats is happens to my father a former bodybuilder he cant work is 2 biceps anymore, they are broke!

  • agreed

  • @honeyb0y no it is water our body contains more water than blood :D

  • I'm doing a project on bicipital tendonitis in my anatomy class. Mind if I use this video for the presentation?

  • is this the small head proximal tendon or the long head? Does anybody know?

  • I don't know. I'll ask at my next check up. What are the implications?

  • Very interesting. What is the instrument (looks like a shower-head) which seems to be repairing the tendon? How does that work?

    Nice footage, thanks for posting.

  • You are welcome. Pretty cool stuff; amazing what they can do now. The doc debrided the tendon first, then "shrink wrapped" it with a heating device. I've only got 70% of my tendon left. ug. Too much athletics.

  • had a short head repair with endobutton 10 mos ago, bout 90% back, u?

  • How'd you do this to yourself?
