@Mo7Vsta ya man, I went to the show awhile back in toronto....they didnt play this cover tho....My buddy sent it to me, and at the time, it wasnt on youtube at all..so I posted it with some random pictures from the show..Good times! I saw them again exactly a year later in Calgary.

Yeah but when taking on a fan fav song your gonna get all those haters out there knocking at your door, just because you covered a fan fav, even if the cover is sick theyll hate it anyway. Escape to me is a sub par song by Metallica, I prefer the cover, both this one and the Hatebreed one, may just be me but i think the vocal style is more suiting to the song and the riff work than James' vocal style, just me though.

They should try St. Anger... lol, it'd sound EXTREMELY angry that way. You almost can't recognize it's a Metallica cover at first. You notice the similarity, but... I like how they really put their own spin on it, unlike Trivium did with MoP.

Don't get me wrong. I loved the cover. I'm just saying nothing really new was added. It's just a lot of bands when they cover a song, it sounds almost original. In Trivium's case though, it was great, yes, but there was little "new" spin on the song. That's all.

You guys shouldn't even be mentioning those poseurs in Trivium in a topic about such a better band like Gojira (I know they toured together, I was there and actually slept through Triviums set on a couch in the balcony area). Trivium sucks, always has sucked, and always will. Gojira is excellent, and this cover is better than the original.
