this car is realy a car that is positioned between the 5 series and the 7 series. it is a bit smaller as an 7 series but a bit more spacious as an 5 serie.

It got the same wheelbase as a 7 series. I've driven in the GT and it's probably bigger then the 7 series (because of the height). Even BMW salesmen don't understand why it's called a 5 series..I personally think it refers to the X5.

@FonzNRG Me too, and tested it for a few days with heavy load. 530d practical and fast. Turned (approving) heads everywhere, despite what most say in this forum. At 140km/h it still has plenty of go, 8 spd gearbox is ultrasmooth and handling is good...

I have to admit that this car looks awful in pictures, but in person it looks awesome!

I saw it at a dealer, and the interior is stunning. I hope that will be the interior of the 5 series, because it looks so similar to the 7 series interior.

And even the backside, which looks very very large and ugly actually looks nice! I really like it! It's incredibly practical, while combining 5 seats, ultra luxury, great styling, enormous leg room and a lot of character. Just bring the price down :)

Lot of people say that backside is ugly, but if you look at it more times, it looks better and better. I said it too about X6, but when i saw it at the first time, it was AWESOME!!! And now i felt in love with this car. And this one is same. I REALLY LOVE IT!!!

There's one big catch guys. And that's the target customer. Open minded and modern person are usualy young people with dynamic life-style. And they SURELY don't wan't SUV like car. They'll go for sedan. I know I would. So the only buyers will be older (over 50) and I think the styling is a bit to radical for them.Regardles, I would rather wan't to see M3 CSL. Or the new M5 taking it's crown back from CTS-V. THAT's what BMW is all about. The ultimate drivers car, NOT granpa car.
