The costumes and floats are completely different from the ones at Disney World. I still dunno if I like them better. And there are a lot more characters in this one, too. Music, dancing, mc's, seem to be about the same.
look, i absolutely love disneyland. but honestly i think they couldve done better with this parade. the parade of dreams was a hundred times better. i mean in this parade there are no character movie floats, no princesses, and wheres the real disney music? im just sayin i really loved the parade of dreams and i wish they would bring it back =[ i just dont think this good enough for disneyland at all.

Complaint cental here. I broke down and went and saw it on the last day of my Southern California Annual Passholder whatever and boy was I disappointed. Just not as much as I thought I would be. But it still sucked balls, that means not so good perverts. Listen once you've had fillet mignon you can't go back to london broil. Capice. The DJ singing guy was just too loud, totally drowned out the music. Alice in Wonderland was dancing up a storm letting us in on her freak self.
You have GOT to be kidding me! They replaced the POD with this hokey, plastic mess? It's like Hannah Montana does a local state fair parade. Even the Parade of Stars (when it was set to Pomp & Circumstance) was better than this.
I am NOT commenting on the performers, so don't get all bent out of shape. They did their best with what they had.
ok so i watched this in person and you were right, it is very catchy and fun live. the energy is there but it brings a different feeling than PoD. this is fun and makes you want to dance and CELEBRATE (pun intended) and PoD was just the epitome of "disney magic."

I agree. If its DL or WDW or anywhere the cast is always putting all their effort into it. I have numerous Cast members as friends and we need to realize these people are working hard for our enjoyment.
This did NOT replace POD. There were reasons why Parade of Dreams didn't return. But originally POD was going to also run along with this. You cannot compare it to any parade because that's exactly what it's NOT. Want to complain? Check out Florida's and figure which is better.
WOW! This parade is so exciting! It takes me back to all those great parades of the 80's when I was little! This is a classic parade and it reminds me of my youth, with all the dancers moving about instead of big clunky floats that just sit there! I LOVE IT!!!! The energy is amazing! Thank you, Disneyland, for bringing back the true parades of your heyday!
I am REALLY disappointed that this "street party" replaced the Parade of Dreams. The PoD was just so sincere and so nostalgic. It brought back so many memories of being the kid that watched Lion King for the first time. It was traditional yet modern. It brought feelings of happiness that only Disney Magic can bring. This parade is very commercial and does not connect with the traditional Disney spirit.

There's no doubt how talented and dedicated all the cast members are with this. The criticism has to do with this "parade" not creating the emotional "Disney" attachment that Parade of Dreams did.
Don't cry. I, for one, appreciate all the blood, sweat and tears that go into everything that you wonderful folks do.
Someday, the unappreciative meanies that refuse to watch what they say (and that includes you, TP2001) will get their comeuppance!
