  • You messed the chickpeas up by adding the chorizo and cheese.

  • Tried this 2 days ago, very very delish! The chorizo lends a distinct flavor...I also added 2 cloves crushed garlic. Totally yummy!

  • In Florida, the stores sell cooked (dry) chorizo which is similar to pepperoni and fresh (raw) chorizo...Mr. Bittman is using the dry kind which has already been cooked...just trying to help, not sure how it's sold in other places. Yes, this recipe looks absolutely delicious, a little fatty but I would cut back on the chorizo, for myself. ♥

  • Chorizos are abundant here in our country so I might be able to try that recipe soon.

  • This intro with the shoe is disturbing.

  • Those chick peas would also be good with bacon instead of chorizo, or any other kind of sausage for that matter...

  • Just made this. I think my chorizo was cheap, it didnt really color the peas or generate lots of fat. Still, the fried chick peas were pretty good. Also, I didnt have sherry, but I used apple cider vinegar, which was excellent with the spinach and in fact the whole dish.

  • *drool*

  • I liked this one a lot. I bet that spinach tasted awesome, soaking in that chorizo fat and sherry

  • chorizo is WAY better than regular sausage! Can't wait too make this!!

  • Looks wonderful. I've never cooked with chickpeas before.

  • this makes my instant noodles for lunch feel insignificant..

  • Delicioso
