As a student going for a Networking degree, CCNA certification through Cisco (who makes/owns linksys) is the way to go, and can pretty commonly land you a 6 figure job if you know what you're doing. By comparison, a computer science/A+ certification isn't much, and in some cases can even harm how your resume looks.

I can see why people are saying it's not hard to post short vids daily, with a bunch of other youtubers posting vlogs via iphones and shit these days, but not everyone has the ability to post like that. Get your life together and keep us updated so we go along for the ride and hopefully get to see you really get back into this! :) P.s. I'm in college now working on my Management Information Systems major and a Computer Science minor, if you enjoy having to code in Java and C++ then it'll be fun, but it gets really boring after a while, but in the end it will pay off. I know some computer security specialists and network admins make over 100k a year.

Take a look at chegg.com and amazon.com when you go to get your textbooks. My experience with both has been good so far, and I've gotten many books for 20-25% of what they sell for brand new. Also, definitely make sure to look around at those 'rate your professor' websites. You don't want to get stuck with a professor that's only there because he just kind of fell there and needs the money.

Where are you going (Univ of Alabama Huntsville). So when you say you want to go the networking route does that mean you want to work with Cisco/Juniper kind of stuff? For that a computer science degree is not going to be what you want. I think there are information system degrees that would be better.

Personally I'd save the money and just study and get the certs CCNA/CCNP. The big thing in Huntsville is going to be a security clearance, will help a lot with the job hunt in the area.

@xs1ner I'm in the process of packing all my shit up AGAIN and moving AGAIN to a whole new state. I need to organize and plan. I have stress at home, I have stress at work, and I have a shit ton of people to say goodbye to.

My schedule and mindstate aren't conducive to a daily obligation like this. Not yet at least. And you don't have to "buy" anything that I say, since that doesn't affect whether or not I put the important shit in my life on hold to make a video.
