  • tom servo and mike!!

  • Think of the thousands of movies they could have improved. T'is not to be, alas.

  • @PacRimJim

You are aware of Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic, aren't you "Jim" ???

  • Do these guys have any idea how much we worship their work? I hope they do.

  • Love these guys

  • You guys are awesome!

  • i can totally see young mike as a waiter

  • I'm confused. why is that human impersonating Tom Servo??? Its very disrespectful if you ask me!!!

  • @velveetaslingshot I've heard that robots can be very good puppeteers.

  • @velveetaslingshot: LOL! I like that. =)

  • We don't have a "story arc." We're a "puppet show."

  • 5:33-6:17 FTW. Thank you Mako for the upload!

  • 7:00 Well we stay in the Mid west FOR OUR SAFETY :)

  • watched show since I could talk. love re-watching them again now that I get all the jokes!

  • a world without rifftrax or MST is a world I never want to live in.

  • If they had stayed @KTMA. It would've been renamed "Creation Science Theater 6000 (years ago)"

  • @abcbatman1966 *shivers*

  • I wish the Syfy Channel would just air some reruns. I mean... has anyone watched that dreadful network recently? I think MST3K is a safer bet than........ wait for it......

    .........

    .....

    ...

    Wrestling.

  • btw, there are 24/7 streams of MST3k but it wont let me link here. Check out Justin.tv and find it.

  • Been a fan of this forever.

    :D

  • kevin and mike are like two really funny uncles to me.

  • Mst3k is immortal and hysterical. Love it so much.

  • There are some things you can never make on purpose.

God bless the late night programming

  • I would never be able to talk to him in person without picturing him as a gumball machine

  • 2:33 it looks like mike is having a stroke lol.

  • 2:37 it looks like mike is having a stroke lol.

  • They proved to me that the Midwest can be the place to be for show business. Best show of all time was made in the middle of nowhere. Very heroic.

  • @dtwhitney Middle of nowhere? Dude, there are 3 million people in the Twin Cities, where the show was filmed and broadcast on KTMA. It's the 16th largest Metropolitan area in the US.

  • @OzzieOlin Well, you know what I mean. Just thinking about the overall population density of the midwest next to the coasts. It was a little unusual for something in MN to get on Comedy Central.

  • My heroes :)

  • "Stop looking at me, I'm making up a good story."

    LOL, these guys are awesome.

  • These are two funny motherfuckers!

  • Kevin's voice is so sophisticated...can't help but imagine Tom Servo giving one of his speeches though..."I was the son of a young phillipeno merchant."

  • @

    davedaveydave yep

  • is that tom servo

  • Those sets may have been cheap, but they were wonderful! You don't need high-tech special effects to make an entertaining program. It's the writing that matters most.

  • @ElveeKaye I'm applauding you for that one, E.K.

  • I find it so hard to hear Kevin and not see Servo....so strange.

  • @poolygirl13 I agree. But I *do* see Calipygeas and mellow folk singer Roger Whitaker <3

  • kevin's voice is awesome

  • TUSK!!!!!

  • Errr, MST3K had a LOT of dirty jokes. And a lot of them weren't even subtle...

I mean... Outlaw of Gor??? Man that was probably the dirtiest episode they did and that won them the Peabody Award.

The fact that religious types enjoy the show too is cool, but clean? Uh. Not really. In fact, most sitcoms are probably cleaner (if 1000x less funny)

  • @monapropertygirl

I feel like the Joel era was much more family friendly than the mike era. That''s not an insult or anything , I like the Mike era best.

  • @trapadoored: Well, I guess since Joel was the creator of the bots, he was like a father therefore the family friendly theme of the show. When Mike came along he was more like a friend to the bots and then the mike era was more like a adult show, since Joel wasn't there to get on the bots about their not family friendly jokes lol! :D

  • @RockyBalboa211

-I will say though that the Joel era had a lot more weird obscure pop culture references in it that kids would never understand. But the Mike era had the raunchier jokes-for a good comparison, look at the episode "Horrors of Spider Island" -imagine how much differently Joel would have been doing that movie.

  • Nice to catch up w/these guys after all this time.

Hands-down the most clever show aired in my lifetime. It never grows old...

  • tom servo became a real boy...?

  • Watch "I Accuse My Parents" on Youtube.

    ...seven months later... *cough*

  • Oh my god. ...You are the single most awesome person ever in the history of anything at anytime. Anywhere. Awesome.

  • Heh, I love these guys so much. <3

And Mike: "He's lying, but thank you" lol X3

I never get tired of MST reruns, and I dun think the rest of the world ever will ether. I know my kids (if I ever have any) and grandkids will be watching MST3k, and I'll be watching it with them. It's like the one show my entire family can all agree is awesome. lol

Thanks Mako for uploading this! ^^

  • You're right. The show was eminently re-watchable.

  • I wish my voice was as awesome as Kevin's.

  • Come to the midwest, everyone sounds like that :)

  • LOL

  • he does have a great voice!

  • he has a shexshy voice. Not as good as Joel's, but...

  • Mike is definately one of the funniest writers on MST3K, for I thuroughly enjoyed him more than I did with Joel. I think I take to his enthusiasm better, and his facial expressions. :)

  • For anyone who's wondering, this interview was a bonus feature for the MST3K Collection, Vol. 5, on the Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders disc. This volume was released in early 2004, so I'm assuming that's when the interview was filmed.

  • I'd think a Christian network would be delighted to have MST3K. It's good, clean, hilarious fun...although I may be the only Christian who thinks that.

  • I believe you're right. I'm a Christian as well. I have enjoyed MST3K for many years BECAUSE it's good, clean fun.

It's hilarious without having to be trashy. Most importantly it's creative and innovative. :-)

  • You're not the only one. I'm christian as well and my dad is the most devout christian known to man and he adores MST just like I do. We think everyone involved with that show are geniuses.

Dirty jokes are pretty much a cheap laugh. It's much harder to be hilarious without having to rely on that.

  • Hey, that might be humorous. Give it a go.

  • I believe it was after Kevin did A Year At The Movies, so I'm guessing 2002?

  • Hideous drapes date it, but Mike has an Office Space reference at the start, I'd guess early 00's.

    Interesting background info.
