Basically, the long-haired girl is in love with LJK and I think he's in love with her too. The only problem is, the short-haired girl sacrificed her right eye to LJK when there was a chemical accident. (That's why she can only cry in her left eye and when she cries, LJK's right eye tears too). Because of the sacrifice, even if LJK loves the long-haired girl, he can't ever be with her because he owes the short-haired girl everything.
