i don´t know from where people get there assumptions? date rape? da skit is based on a series of commercials, @ da time, demeaning billie d; african-american´s greatest sex symbol (plus, actor). da commercials were by a beer company advertising their cheap beer consumed mostly by african-americans. da woman parodied by kim coles is only portraying a type of woman assumed to drink 45. it has nothing to do w/date rape. it may look as if but bd williams was known as da lady´s man!
I'm glad you posted this rare clip. I just saw the banned Men on Fitness skit that also was banned and removed. It's too bad they had to cut out a lot of skits from the DVDs because of music licenses. They should really put an uncut set on the Internet to get around this. "In Living Color" is right up there with SNL even though lasted 5 years. Most of the cast on ILC became stars and directors.
Thank God I saw this when it first aired before those FOX idiots banned it (must've thought they were gonna lose their alcohol endorsements over this, lol). CLASSIC SKIT from a CLASSIC TIME!
PS, might as well have been Whitney Houston passed out on that table, the way she be lookin' these days...
Didn't realize this was banned, and I watched In Living Color religiously as a kid. Oh well. Thanks to Youtube we can fuck the censors just a little bit more.
Fox is still (And has always been) sleazy. No shame in hiding what you really are, Mr. Murdoch.
and i actually saw this episode when it was on tv that ONE time. ever since then, i've been wondering why they never showed it but i didn't know it was banned. as time went by, Fox ruined In Living Color by trying to censor just about everything.
Date rape? Yeah, the skit take a jab, but the real jab is directed at the fact that higher alcoholic content beverages were pushed in the black community. Listen to Keenen's line when he talks about the alcoholic content of the beer. Malt liquors were advertised almost exclusively in black neighborhoods by black spokespersons. Bolt Malt Liquor sure acts quicker!!!
I remember this!!!!!! When I was in High school we had a student debate about whether it was date rape and I remember even some of the girls thought it wasn't rape because she appeared to be a "alcoholic loose skeezer" This episode was funny and thought provoking!
That is the sad thing, Family Guy makes fun of a bunch of things Aids,Cancer, National Tragedies ETC. and there is no joke to it, no message just "Lol you have aids!" and such.
@DemomanX614 yeah. we definitely live in a different time now.. i mean teenage mainstream pop stars get away with saying "Shit" and "Fuck" and sell sex in very in your face ways, not so worried about image. shows like breaking bad (best show on tv imo) are so bleak and depressing and dark that it's unbelievable they're shown on a mainstream basic cable television channel. This show was DEFINITELY ahead of its time since 20 years later shows nowadays have content that are much more graphic.
Wow! Where'd you get this? LOL. It IS kind of making light of date rape, but it is sort of funny in a way. 5 times the normal alchohol level? Major hangover!
"What did you expect, Whitney Houston?"
- oh, the irony....

I did not know it was shown once on tv and not in the box set of the show. I learn something every day. Many thanks You Tube.

FOX had the nerve to ban this? And this didn't even make it on the DVD set? That bites big time. Thank goodness we have Youtube.

What I Meant is that it wasn't so terrible that it couldn't be shown on the DVD Release.
This was at least Better than the Rape Scene in Observe & Report.

It's amazing In Living Color got away with as much as they did before censors eventually killed it.

Is it really so bad if it makes light of it? Family Guy does worse in almost every episode. I guess it's just the time period.

@RCKChich it was DEFINATELY the time period. this was 20 yrs ago.
