Nice video thanks for sharing with us, i can said this buzzards are pretty; butt they clean pretty good the cities, I just visit gatorland this guys are very pretty when they fly check my video i hope you enjoy as I did with yours.
Have you ever heard these things sing....the ones that perch on the Tall powerlines (those Huge ones that carry electricity for the whole city/state) do a lot of it, it wasn't until recently I got to see one up close.. man these are some ulgy birds but I respect them, as many dead animal carcasses I see around my neighborhood they sure can clean em up.
Wow, crazy. That bird is NOT cute, like someone said. I LOVE birds, but these things look menacing. Maybe there's some funk smell coming from your office or basement? Because I think thats what attracted them to the dead possum in my yard today, and that thing stunk.
You know, I gotta say, I would probably avoid falling asleep outside until they move on to greener pastures. They have long, sharp beaks and a preference for eyeballs and things laying motionless.
lol, there's an imprinted turkey vulture at a wildlife rescue in my area, and he likes to jump at the window whenever I pay him a visit. (It's a screen window, so he's jumping at me instead of at his reflection). I always figure he just wants to play, because he also often tries to lead me to the door that his caretakers use to get into his enclosure. Or maybe he just wants me to let him out.
She's an ugly bird yes, although she cannot help it. That was just the way she was made, just like some of us humans who were made not as attractive as we would like. :) I was going to say that you should feed her if you see her again, but that would probably be a bad idea because then she may start bothering you for food all the time! LOL
Handsome devil, isn't he? You know what I'd do? I'd open the door or window, whatever that is. Then I would go to another room and when the vulture came in, I would say to the boss, "Where the hell did he come from!?"
My friend was riding her bike to my house, she calls me all hysterical, the damn turkey vulture followed her ,OVER HER HEAD, for like 15 min. They are wicked creatures!! lol
holy crap im watching this because we have tons of them flyin around in the back yard and they just pooped on the lawn chairs and the laundry on the clothes line and the animal control is coming cuz we can't go outside cuz 1 of them tryed to attack my baby sister when she was sitting in her playpen outside
very cool! i get so excited when i see them circling the area just because its such an interesting bird! it possibly lost its flock we had a wild turkey at m y grandparents farm he was lost and obviously hungry since he clung to us for a year lol we named him thomas OBVIOUSLY anyways eventually a coyote got him which was sad for us. anywho just saying maybe he is lost?
They really are interesting birds. I saw one about 10 yrs ago at 6 am, comin' home from the night shift in South Jersey. You don't see 'em here too often. Only every now and then. .......This creature was standing in the middle of the rd. on the yellow line, munching on a road kill rabbit......mmmm One of the more fascinating aspects of turkey vultures is how friggin' nasty lookin' are. That wing span is pretty impressive too.
Wow, I never even heard of these until yesterday (Thanksgiving, oddly enough) when I saw about five of them eating some type of dead animal in a Sears parking lot. Very creepy!
lessthankatie: There was a pair of vultures on my patio -- this one was obsessed with his reflection and kept trying to attack it. When they weren't attacking the window, they did alot of sunbathing, and looked healthy and well-fed to me. They'd also look in through the other non-reflective window, and seemed really curious about the people walking around inside.
