I have one in my yard, it's been here since yesterday, I am trying to get him to eat something besides grass. I might try to catch him, his mother didn't come to get him last night.
i just found a little bunny that looks pretty much that size, she was on the side of the road so i took her.. i saw on a comment on 1 of these videos and the person said they were a vet, they said the closest thing is goat's milk mixed with baby rice cereal.. is that ok to do? because we gave her that last night and so far today. i just want to be sure to give the right thing. also how often should you feed them? she has fleas too, is there anything i could give her?
wow what a cute little critter. if i were u i would be tempted to keep it as a pet (i bet anybody would) but i know they need to be released back into the wild because they probably dont do well in captivity.
I have 4 baby cottontail rabbits that I rescued from my backyard,I know its wrong but the mom was run over by a car and they are still very young I would put them back but since we live in a sorta country area so their are lots of snakes in my backyard and I just couldn't just leave them there. But sometimes one of them doesn't want to feed what should I do?
You should have put the baby rabbit back out in the wild where he belongs. How would you feel if someone took you away from your home? That was just stupid to take him.I get that you saved him from the cat, but it wasn't right to take him from the wild.
Hi! :) I found some baby bunnies also, I know that the mother is alive but I cant keep them in my backyard or else my dogs will hurt them. Any advice on like when to feed them and how and what? etc!? it would be great help thanks!
@DaniVerJean Go to any local pet store and buy KMR (Kittens Milk Replacement) and feed them with a syringe depending on how old they are you can find how much to feed them using google but also slowly start to put in some grass and rabbit pellets in their diet when they are old enough.BTY the KMR is sorta expensive,I bought a can of it thats smaller than a coke can but it cost me $8.
it survived! Hows small are they? Best thing to do it to buy baby cat mil at pet store and try feeding them with a syringe. If you think the mother might be dead, you would have to take care of them untill they are able to eat alone for about a week or so, but if the mother is alive, its best to put the rabbits back where they are and most likely thr mother will find them .
ps. rabbit dont care about human scent, they will still take care of their young.
um i see you are feeding a wild little bunny and i need help yestarday beside our house we found a couple of baby rabbits but today we found only 2 of them so we decided to keep them and take care of them but how would we know when to feed them and what good thing to feed'em plz reply we need help!

ok so you stole a bunny, fed it cats milk and then released it? Hun, this bunny is dead...the mother wont go near it now. You should have left it alone and not taken her baby away from her.
@wroclaw87 I agree with you... the whole "Once you touch a baby its mother won't come back" is an old wives tale. Ask any animal science expert. I've only raised one rabbit successfully so far and I have another one that may or may not make it. Thanks for the video:)
kitten milk replacer. found it at PJ's... $10 for half a can lmao!
best method is to make ice cubes out of the milk, then thaw one cube per day.
found bugsy mows a couple days ago when the gardeners made a gruesome discovery while mowing the lawn. he has been doing very well so far, eating, drinking, and discarding. he's been very active and playful, and has got to be the most affectionate little bunny rabbit ever!
ok my mom herd like a screming nois the night before the incident, and the next day she was hearing the same nois, so she went outside to see what it was, and my cat had had a babby bunny in its mouth, the bunny survived luckly and we cept it in my old guiny pig cage, still it would not eat, and would not drink water out of a bowl, were guesing this bunny is about 2 weeks old, its realy small, we gave it the name lucky, how do i feed it?
today my friend and i found a 2 week old rabbit to estimate age and I find animal all the time in my farm, and best thing to feed it is warm milk for 7 day and some mashed carrat or any kind of greens kind alike baby food. Make sure oyu look it up though. And after that you can try to feed it regular food. refuges like that jus tneed to understand what you trying to do and get used to eating by us humans ..Savvy?
this is so cute!.I got my bunny Regina from the wild when she whas just a baby like yours and i feed her just like youre doing and it is so cute to see that again ;) - enjoy your bunny while you still hafe it and give it lots of love <3

First of all, before you made comments, make sure you have some knowledge on the subject.
1. I saved it from a cat that was about to make it its dinner.
2. Yes i fed it cats milk, then i realized it started eating grass as well on its own. It does not need mother now.
3.A rabbit is not like a bird, a mother rabbit will go to its child no matter what or what touched it.
Before you start bashing, read a book!
wroclaw87 2 years ago 38
@wroclaw87
Well actually, a bird will accept it's young with human scent on it. Most birds don't have a great sense of smell.
