to think that usher was inspired by radiohead while writing "OMG"... :) anyone else think the crowd at the start of the video sounds like the sample he uses in the song? but i guess it doesn't surprise me, everyone's ripping off radiohead these days...
You know, fellow Radiohead fans, I think "Kid A" is the weirdest song they have ever written. I mean, you can´t dance to it like "15 steps" or "idioteque", or rock out to it like "Just" and "Bones", neither can you completely lose control like "Paranoid Android" or "Climbing Up The Walls". You can only stare at it, quietly though, and try and merge with the song.
I actually think this song has a twin brother (from the OKC era), "How I Made My Millions". It´s Oh so Quiet, they are both superb.
@eazzy93 I disagree. I can dance to it, lose control to it, and still have the ability to examine how aesthetically pleasing it is (I like your description, stare at it). Kid A is the most played song on my iPod. :P
what's wrong with ppl who don't like Radiohead: they're not matured yet. give them 10 years. they'll realize how wrong they were when they reach the 20s or 30s... Radiohead fans today, take pride in the fact that we're all musically more matured. its just a matter of time... They havent become Radiohead fans... YET.
hey guys im 13 and im the only one of my mates who like raidiohead i mean come on wats not to love bout raidiohead they are so so epic and i think everyone who listen likes raidiohead wil aggree
@mrcrazyoli well yeah, dude me and my girlfriend are like the only one of my friends who like them, 2 other ppl and i got one of them into it oh actually one more, but the thing is the rest of my friends bash them , and i swear if i was like violent id fight em lol
Every time i listen to this song i can't help but think about the Voyager 1 and 2 space crafts. Yes, i know it sounds crazy and messed up but it's just so eerily beautiful if that makes any sense. I always picture Voyager 1 just floating out in space.... strange
the song is actually about the possibility that this human being has already been created but portrays it in a dark way, as if the person or kid was taken away against their will to be experimented on. lines like "standing in the shadows at the end of my bed" either refer to a guilty feeling or even a kidnapper at the end of a literal bed, "rats and children follow me out of town" is referring to the Pied Piper, but is also comparing the kids to lab rats, being experimented on and cloned.theory
i read a big article in rolling stone (or some music mag) about a guy that had really bad clinical depression and he basically locked himself in a room for a few weeks, smoked weed, and listened to OK Computer... he's adamant it cured him. not a joke. is it really that surprising though? come on people, grow up.
despite what the "drug czar" wants you to think, the weed demon is not out to eat your soul. I remember thom saying jovially at bonnaroo "I'm staring out a 100,000 people all enjoying the sticky green." that's thom yorke, not me.
Wow.... this is too amazing....
