willismson didn't join iggy until 74. this is willismason and not the original stooges but it was from the 'metallic ko' era. excellent video though. I guess the dutch just discovered the fog machine
you must have good drugs. Metallic KO was not from 73, it was in 76. Williamson joined iggy [for kill city] when the stooges broke up after the raw power lp. You are correct, RP was in 73, but james wasn't in the stooges ever. unless I'm getting serious flashbacks. other observations anyone?
Do yourself a favour: Take the Raw Power album in your hands and look at the cover!!If you have it on CD, read the booklet inside the CD cover. Just read what is says! If you can't read, get someone else to read it for you. It says: James Williamson on guitar.
It says: Songs written by Iggy Pop and James Williamson. James Williamson plays all the guitars in the Raw Power album, now please...
Funny late 70's video but brilliant tune. A Stooges classic from 1971. A slight pity about the overwrought solo in the middle - which is not a patch on Williamson's playing.
Indeed "Toppop". A dutch tvshow. Iggy playing "lust for life" in that same show is still famous in Holland. Iggy was all over the stage, molesting plants.
Godfather of punk.

Nirvana's performance there was great. They fucked with them a bit instead of pretending to play along with the pre-recorded song properly.

rubbish.
Raw Power album was released in late 1972, early 1973 - it came out first in U.K and year later in states.
Williamson joined the band 1971
He was a member of the Stooges even before Raw Power came out and this song was orginally recorded as a demo for the raw power album.
This version comes from late 70's live album TV Eye live, the guitar player on this version is Scott Thurston.
Metallic K.O tour was in 1973

@agooTV This song was written in 1970, and was Iggy's first independent composition.

Duude.
Williamson joined in the beginning of 1971,
and "butted" Ron Ashton off of guitar and to bass for Raw Power, which came out in '73.
