The rally to restore sanity was less about the government and more about the media. The rally to restore sanity was less about the government and more about the media. If the media shows responsible, grown-up reportage, the government will tend to follow because they'll see that that's what the people want. Because our elected officials don't listen to the common man, they listen to the media's interpretation of it.

I agree that this video makes Reason TV look bad. Perhaps more older people with more real life experience and wisdom should do more and be more visible. The young, smart as they can be, tend to be overly simplistic in their understanding of things. (So do some older people, but fewer of them.)

The U.S. is going to spend money, and putting more money into our infrastructure and building new industries, as in science, medical coverage, and new energies, is necessary to turn things around. It is like a business that borrows money to put into growing the business, and then the loan is paid back by the larger, stronger company. That's what he meant, he just didn't know how to say it.
