Now I know dog gone good and well I commented on this video when it first came out!! Maybe I forgot to push the post button. Anyways this is a great song and heartfelt performance John!! Your hair looks nice to. And the way the sunlight shines through the window paine there really brings out the highlights in your hair!! Your a handsome man John!! You kind of resembe Brett Favre!! Another hunk and a heck of a Football player!! Football season starts soon!!
@coolanddark LOL Dan - I'm nearly speechless! I've been called a Chuck Norris look-alike before, but never Brett Favre. But sometimes I am nearly as indecisive (key word - :nearly") as him. But yes, the light certainly brings out the grey. Thanks for the chuckle friend! I too, am looking forward to some Packer Football for sure - Can't wait!
@rpatt100 Thank you kindly! I really like this song - and yes, the hair of the dog works famously, but sometimes - if I'm not carefull, all I do is delay the agony... lol
@losthills Wow! I thought this was an old stand by! It is certainly one of my favorites! George Jones, whiskey or Beer, and a guitar is all one needs when a girl messes with your mind. Thanks Archie!!!!
Splendid rendition of this long time country classic! Definitley tugs on the heartstrings. Why oh why does love have to be such a some beach sometimes. Fortunately there is no shortage of Irish Whishkey to drown the sorrow.
@coolanddark Oh You know it! But if love didn't hurt so much when you lost it - it certainly wouldn't be so valuable! Which personally, I think is why Irish Whiskey was perfected. Which leads me to think the Irish know more than they let on! ;-)
@jayrbee60 the irish do know more. I just found out this week is irish cure for a hangover is to bury yourself up to the neck in river mud. and here I've been relying on coffee, cheap burritos, eggs and bacon, and gatorade for all these years !
@knappydanny LOL! That kind of sucks 'cause all the rivers up here are full of rocks! Bean burritos and cabbage rolls work well too, but it gets lonely (and you have to be careful lighting cigarettes), and one mustn't forget the old standby Bloody Mary - after all, you can't drink all day, if you don't start in the morning. Good to hear from you buddy!
ur hair looks fine to me! happens to be one of my fav songs! and u are very correct, when this comes on, u have to crank it..however i must confess...most of the time my radio is cranked up!..if the song is bad enough to turn it down, its time to turn the station...quickly and find a station that plays something i like...sounded wonderful John!
@justcallmethelma LOL, I know what you mean! but put it this way, if people were talking I would shush them when this song came on... Any way, thank you so much!
Lucky am I to have witnessed your smooth and straightforward showcase...delivered with an honest,no frills approach, permitting the lyrics and music to do their job in their most rudimentary form. The integrity surrounding your sterling strumming serves as the perfect compliment to your equally pure and unadulterated vocalizing. Many thanks for blessing our hearts and souls with this beautifully presented performance.:)
@stewballmax3 As always Max, you kind and generous comments are greatly appreciated. I believe this song is meant to be played simply and from the heart. Thank you so much!
C'mon John. You're slowin up wi the new posts buddy.
