I like watching trains go by, especially when they blow their horns. I also like the sound of the signals. The signal and train horn start sounding at the same time and that's what I like about trains.
That line through Warrensburg Mo has so many WB freights that is screws up the 2 Amtrak trains that use it, not to mention the Texas Eagles trip on Mopac Rails from St Louis through Texarkana, Probabily all single track, with sidings. what radio channels are used in Warrensburg and any hotbox detectors if any on this line? and whats the train speed through Warrensburg Mo? and is it CTC DTC or TWC?
You have a great eye, the way you frame your shots with objects around the crossing and station. I often imagine effects like that in my head, but actually doing it is another thing.
Both sub-divisions meet up in Jefferson City and are split in Kansas City. I have heard that the trains are mostly westbound here because eastbound traffic would have to tackle a very tough hill in Independence, Missouri, so they route the eastbounders over the river sub.
For the most part I think they do. This part of the Union Pacific (formerly the Missouri Pacific) is divided into two sub-divisions -- the southern route called the Sedalia sub-division which is westbound except for some Amtrak trains, and the river sub-division, which runs right next to the Missouri River.

That is correct except for reroutes and 2 Amtraks a day. Which may soon be only 1 because of Blunt.
